Glitchy

Although the screen is good for a 32”, the computer in it is very very slow and it’s often glitchy. The screen with be black even though it’s turned on, and I have to reboot it very often.

Bad smart TV

Do not buy as just a smart TV, the TV does not respond to inputs from the remote for several seconds after hitting buttons. Other times when the TV I turned on the screen will just remain black and the only way to fix it is to cast something to it from my phone. I have always liked Vizio TVs however this one is a huge disappointment and will be getting returned.

Prepare for frequent soft resets

I often have to do soft resets for the tv to return to the home screen. Even when powered off and on it doesn’t like to go home. I had the most difficult time updating the software on the tv too. It took about a week before I could get the tv to recognize it needed to update the software so that I could get the apple airplay feature. It updated once and thought that was good but it didn’t have the apple airplay activated. The second time I got it to recognize it needed an update was a week later and that one showed airplay. I had basically reformat the tv. When things are behaving normally then it’s actually a pretty good tv. It’s just really buggy.

It's a TV, but not very "Smart"

What's weird is that I have a 50" Vizio that I don't have any problems with. This one, not so much. The apps are very buggy and the main hub that you use to navigate to your apps freezes up often. I've gotten so frustrated with this TV that I have considered just throwing it out and getting a new one, but I've decided to just attach a Roku device to get my favorite streaming services to work on a reliable basis.

Known Software Issue with Smartcast

I needed a small TV that had apple airplay capability and this Vizio was inexpensive and fit the bill. The picture and overall quality seem fine. The issue was that after I installed it on the wall and started setting up the TV, the main home menu or "Smartcast" freezes and will not function. You can still get to some Apps using the hard coded buttons but no hard or soft resets would fix it. After 1.5 hours on line with their tech support to no avail, the guy tells me this is a known software issue and they are working on a fix and they will download an update soon. When? He could not say. I asked if all units have this issue or is it sporadic and he said it is sporadic and inferred if I returned it, the next unit might not have issue. Well I had already installed a mount on the wall for this TV and I could not use apple airplay without the main menu "Smartcast" so I returned it and got another identical one. Brought it home, tried it out before mounting and same issue. The main Smartcast menu freezes after start up and no go. I took it back and paid a little more for the Samsung and regret the time lost. I am shocked they are still selling these units when they do not function out of the box. I would avoid until someone at Vizio acknowledges they have fixed the problem.
