I have a MacBook with external display adaptor, and this fit the bill. Sometimes, I switch it over to TV to stream NetFlix and Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. Great value, and works great for my laptop. It is also Smart in the sense that I manage this device with my Alexa Echo Dot ("Alexa, turn on Office TV") and voila. The built-in smarts Operating System is a little slow, but nothing to gripe about.
