So apart from the great picture quality, the SmartCast (google chrome) is nothing too great. Streams well, but not exactly there yet. Most of the tv controls, setting and such, have to be done through a smartphone or tablet. Not the biggest fan of this feature, but it's not the end of the world. Overall a great tv, if you're looking for just a tv. If you're looking for a "smart" tv, look elsewhere.

The cheapest 4K tv that I found. The tv gives you a nice picture quality and I really recommend this TV the only thing I don't like is the remote control. The control that you get with the TV is really simple and you can only change volume and channels but if you want to configure the brightness or something else you need to sync your smart phone and tv in order to do any configurations.

This is clearly a value-based display based on the lack of tuner and built-in "smart tv" apps. That aside, it has a nice picture and design and plenty of ports. This is a Chromecast TV, meaning anything you want to stream to this TV must have a Chromecast enabled app. You cannot simply pick up the remote and turn on Netflix or the like. You must have a compatible device to start a stream on this display. You could also use a streaming device like Roku, Fire Stick, or a gaming console to stream content. My son is using his Xbox to use Netflix, Amazon and others. This TV also lacks a tuner which means you cannot connect a coax cable directly to the TV. If you use an antenna or other device requiring coax, you will need additional hardware. Most cable/sat providers can/do provide you with a tuner that has HDMI outputs so this is not much of an issue for many users. Like another reviewer, my first TV was VERY damaged right out of the box. This was disappointing, especially after the Best Buy and Geek Squad managers did their best to find a reason to blame me. It finally took an observant employee to note the damaged screen was pushed outward and questioned how I could have possibly done that. Once confronted with that observation, they grudgingly replaced it with one off the shelf.

It's a great TV. I was worried about the smartcast based on some of the other reviews but I haven't had any issues. It was very easy to set up and the picture quality is great for this price point. Only downfall is there is no tuner- which I knew before buying. But for some one like me, who mostly uses Netflix/other media sites, it was a good buy.

This TV is wonderful. The Chromecast is really great. We were surprised with how much we have used the Chromecast considering we have an Xbox One and used to stream everything through that console. The Chromecast is useful because I can wake up in the morning and turn on Pandora on the living room TV from my bed using my smartphone. It's also nice because we have a tendency to lose the TV remote, but with Chromecast our phone is the remote. The 4K picture quality is good, although, we haven't really used this capability too much since not many things are currently broadcast in 4K. It'll be a nice feature that will get more use in the future.

After much debate over several TVs, I decided to go with this Vizio. Mainly for price, functionality, and other customer's reviews. I originally wasn't sure if I would like the Chromecast, but so far its been great. It doesn't work with all apps, and if you have a weak internet connection you are out of luck. However, I have had it for a few months now, and those issues have only come up a handful of times. Quality is good as far as picture goes. The speakers are lacking a bit, so I am considering getting a soundbar in the future. Overall very satisfied with my selection.

The tv is wonderful the 4K makes it wonderful for viewing I just made a mistake and thought I purchased a smart tv with remote this one is only streamed by device which I purchased for my mom and she can't do this but the tv itself is wonderful great sound too

I didnt believe the hype at first for the 4k resolution. Just thought it was a ploy to get us to pay for a tv that was thinner and more expensive. However the day before black friday i caught an amazing sale (and our tv just so happened to have blew out several months prior) so I took a gamble. Im glad we did. As a gamer this picture makes me feel in the game. Its clear and more defined and iys smooth look makes my living room attractive. Though i think Vizio is just my favorite brand of tv. 5 stars no doubt. Oh and the chromecast built in is amazing!

Great TV good picture and options, some feel that not having a full remote or on-screen menus is cheap and very frustrating but if you know how to use a smartphone you should have any issues. I've paired this TV with a Vizio sounds bar with Smart Cast and another Samsung Sound bar with an Audio Chromecast for a full house of streaming music. Easy to set up and sounds great with no delays between the 2 speakers. Don't get me wrong Samsung's are always my number 1 TV buy for a second room you can't go wrong with the quality for the price.

Great price for someone who wants a quality TV with features like Chromecast. My phone controls the TV's basic functions and almost any app that plays movies or streams shows can be shown on the screen just by using your phone as a remote.

The screen looks amazing. Great colors and contrast. The audio is lacking however, but you normally use with a home theater so it's not that big of a deal. The remote control is also tiny and looks like it won't stand a good fall.

Overall I'm very happy with this TV it has a gorgeous picture and the 4k is awesome. The only negative is that it doesn't have a coaxial connection option and inputs for DVD player etc unless everything goes through HDMI cables.

When I purchased this "TV", I didn't realize that it was just a display. It was the first time I had seen Home Theater Display on any TV. I just assumed it was a new way of marketing a TV. I searched for 4k Smart TVs and this one came up and had a lot of stars and was just $50-100 less than its competitors. The picture was great on the display, but it lacked all the things I was looking for in a Smart TV and I couldn't live with having to use an app to control it. I returned this TV next day for a Samsung Smart TV.

If you are looking for a less expensive 4K tv, this one is great! The smart cast is hard to use, but using for anything else is great!

So far no issues. The picture quality is great menu is easy to use. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I am not a fan of the smart hub which requires and app on your phone computer or tablet instead of on the tv.

I bought this as an open box. I was looking for a different smaller tv for my kids. I saw a couple of these opened box in 2 stores. I finally asked why they were returning them. Because it is a monitor not a tv...ok no problem unless you are still using an antenna. I wound up swapping my 50" led smart tv in my bedroom (that I love) with this 48" . It is a great tv..numerous options with the cast. The tv works great. I never use the remote that came with the tv. I have all my ipads/tablets/phones synced with it. I think it works great and has an excellent picture for the price. If you are expecting 2000.00 picture for 25% of the price...this is not the tv for you. It does have an excellent picture though.

I enjoy my Vizio a lot. Great picture, decent sound. Only downfall is no coax connection and the remote is almost useless. Using the Vizio remote app is a must to use this tv.

The picture quality is great, but I wish there were a few more buttons on the remote. Needing the app for the sleep timer seems a bit of a pain. The setting is deep in menus at that.

This is a great TV however I did not research the product thoroughly. Seems that you have to have cable/internet service ready and available for installation. TV can not be programmed in antenna only environment location. No matter what type of converter or cable used would not work. (vhf/U) After research found out Series of TV model needs to be compatible as well. TV is great, just could not work in a TV Antenna environment only. Research recommended for all buyers based on tech. Specs...but Great TV!

I honestly think this is the best tv I have ever owned. I love and trust vizio. The idea to get rid of built in apps was smart! Using my iPhone for a remote for the tv is awesome. Perfect picture and perfect price. Only thing I can say, this tv at the current time of writing this review, does NOT support HDR. If you are looking for a tv with HDR support, purchase the M or P series.
