I like this tv for picture quality and the 4K benefits. I also like the built in chrome cast. The problem that ruins this tv for me is that it does not allow you to change the aspect ratio while you are watching something. Say hello to forever having to see the black lines top and bottom or left to right. You can't change it to zoom while you are watching something that isn't exactly 16:9.

Thank you for your feedback. The display does have wide settings that can be adjusted through the included remote or through the SmartCast App. The wide settings allow you to switch between different settings such as Normal, Panoramic, Wide, and Zoom.

I love this tv for my gaming room. It has just enough HDMI ports for a gamer with multiple systems. It has great picture quality. The only downside is the dumb app on the phone is a bit weird.

Vizio Will Cheat You Out of the Warranty

I bought this Vizio model and, when I took it out of the box, the screen was heavily damaged (I should have taken this as a bad omen then). I returned it the next day to Best Buy and received a new working model. Just a couple of weeks later, the screen developed a pixelation and two straight lines appeared from the pixel: one vertical and one horizontal (See the attached pictures). The pixelation was supposedly covered in the Vizio warranty, so I contacted Vizo's customer service and I provided pictures of the pixelation. I was told it was a manufacturing defect and they would deliver a replacement TV, even assigning a tracking number for me to monitor the delivery of the new TV. Nearly two weeks passed without an update, so I called customer service again, only to be told that a resolution manager determined that the pixelation was caused by external damage to the TV. This external damage, of course, was not a manufacturing defect and, therefore, not covered by the warranty. One of their resolution managers told me that he could not divulge how they arrived at the conclusion that external damage caused the pixelation (but they could tell me they were certain of it and, oh, would I like to buy a similar model at a reasonable discount?). As politely as I could through my anger, I told him that was unacceptable, especially after Vizio reneged on the replacement TV without having the decency and courtesy to contact me personally to inform me (How cowardly is that?). I then asked him if he were in my position, if he would feel as though he received satisfactory (not even good, just passable) customer service. Through gritted teeth and a brief moment when he abandoned soulless corporate-speak, he admitted that he would not feel Vizio would have given him satisfactory customer service. I then told him I was filing a dispute with the bank (I did so immediately) and that this would be the last time I would buy anything from Vizio. Since then, I've been telling everyone who would listen about Vizio's cowardly and dishonest customer service and shoddy products. The manager at the Best Buy where I purchased this TV was also less than helpful and not especially sympathetic, saying that buying the protection package would have helped (I was told the day I bought the TV that pixelation was not covered under the plan, so I declined and now fail to see how buying it would have helped). This manager condescended to me, making me feel as though denying the extra expense somehow landed me in my situation.
I can only speak from my experience, but Vizio will apparently go to great lengths to cheat paying customers out of replacing their own poorly manufactured TVs and disregarding their own warranty policies. I suggest buying a TV from another manufacturer, one that treats its customers with respect and honors its word, not one that cowardly rescinds its promises and fails to uphold its end of the consumer-supplier relationship.

After multiple restarts and errors, the TV finally let me me stream to it. Wish it had a separate audio out only. Otherwise it looks great so far.

This product is just what I was looking for. It is a great performing display without the overhead of the TV tuner. I use it with Vizio smart cast from my computer. I have not explored the possibilities but I think you can use things like phones and tablets sort of as a remote control to play your favorite content. It is not a SMART TV, it is a home theater display. This was exactly what I was looking for.
