The sound is leaps and bounds better than the television! This offers a very simple 5.1 surround sound that doesn't require extensive work, wiring or configuration. However, with that in mind, you should not expect top notch sound, you get what you pay for. The center channel speaker makes understanding dialog much easier and you get the surround sound effect and bass from the subwoofer. But that is about it, the speakers are small and have limited range, and don't produce the cleanest sound out there, the subwoofer is lacking a deep hard punch and the there isn't the dynamic range of a traditional receiver and speaker system. But with that in mind, it also didn't cost $5,000 plus a professional installer for another $2,000. If you're frustrated with the quality of sound from your television speaker and want an inexpensive solution than this is great, if you're looking for a LOUD and room shaking system, this will leave you disappointed, as home theater fanatic, with the $7,000 setup I found this a great addition to my bedroom TV. So would I recommend this to a friend, the real answer is it depends what they're looking for. If they want simple inexpensive and a way better experience than what TV speakers provide the YES. If you're looking for something more like my theater room, then you'll need to look at some different equipment.

The sound bar works just like it's supposed to. Our old sound bar was always a click too loud or a click too quiet, there wasn't a good in between click that was just right. We definitely don't have that problem with the new one. I also like the wireless speakers a lot. The only issue I've found with the sound bar so far is getting my phone to connect via Bluetooth. It'll connect and play music, but it ends up jumping around, disconnecting and reconnecting, missing bits and pieces of a song, like how a CD skips. Other than that it's perfect.

My husband is VERY pleased with this soundbar system. The system was easy to hook up to our television. The sound quality is very good. We watched The Attack of the Clones (Star Wars) and it was almost like watching it in the theaters. I would definitely purchase this system again.

I own a Vizio TV, so decided I wanted to stick to the same brand of soundbar. I was originally just going to get the soundbar without the full 5.1 surround, but since it was black Friday/cyber Monday sales it made sense to get the more advanced 5.1 surround sound. The sound quality is AMAZING, especially with the bass. It makes the hairs on the back of neck stand on end. That said I find it difficult to get a good balance. I'm having to manually adjust the settings on a daily basis. I think this might be because it's not quite picking up the signal when I change the volume using my Xfinity remote (you can teach it to read other remote contrrols). All in all I'm very pleased with the product, the balancing is a minor distraction to me. I'm looking forward to hosting my next party so I can use the speaker system via bluetooth on my phone.

Listening to this side by side to the Sonos you can tell Sonos is better but much more expensive. This one is a gift but I have the exact same one and it has been great. The price is very competitive and the surround makes you feel enveloped. Setup is really easy as well

WOW, this is the best purchase I've made in a while. A gift for my dad, he is beyond pleased. You get what you pay for but with this purchase, it was MUCH more than I expected. Highly recommend this to anyone not wanting to spend $1,000+.

I was looking for a sound bar because the sound from a Visio tv isint so good. I picked this sound bar because I have a matching tv, the sound is great, didn’t have any issues setting up.

The sound is great for the price and it took less than 10 mins to set everything up. Sound bar and speakers/sub woofer connected automatically. So far, so good!

I purchased a year ago the 2.1 version of this product and was blown away by the sound that came from such a small package that when the 5.1 version came on sale I just had to get it. I am glad I did. The depth of the audio is so much greater and the sound is great. Now I am not saying that it is as great sounding as a system costing hundreds if not thousands more but I am saying that the sound produced is enough that you will forget about spending more.

This system sounds so much better than my Sony system that costs twice as much. Will buy for other rooms.

Easy install, I haven't gone higher than 3 on the volume and the sound is amazing. Thinking of purchasing another one for another room.

This was a good basic surround sound system for a small room. I purchased this item for $150.00 so that is what I based by rating on. The wireless subwoofer works but does not give booming base, only low notes. The rear satellite speakers hard wire into the sub. Cords are long enough to be useful in placing the speakers where you want them. Overall sound is good. Remote is a little cheesy but functions alright. I would recommend at the price I purchased it for.

I purchased two of these from Best Buy. One died at Month 13 the other day at month 15. The warranty is only good for 12 months and they would not even provide a Software update that they had created but it was past the warranty date. Sounded great when I was working but Terrible customer service and terrible product longevity.

Got a GREAT deal from BB on this purchase. Easy setup and awesome sound. Can't beat the price.

Alright, So I looooove Vizio tv's and recently bought a 55inch 4k M series tv, And had a previous Vizio soundbar without the surround just sub and soundbar. So since I bought the tv recently I decided to by a new system aka the Vizio surround system to get the most out of my tv...Was disappointed..I'm an audiophile I looove quality in sound and so when I bought this system I had hopes but all I could think was meh..Not wow or ehh but meh..So I play a movie to decide how good sound items are whether earpiece headphones or soundbar..The movie I use is Godzilla(2014)..I fast forward to the part where Godzilla roars the longest and loudest..(Spoilers!!) its the part when the soldiers are ready to nuke the Muto nesting ground and Godzilla appears starting with his tail rising in the smoke..Its that part where you're supposed to feel the impact the fear of the scream shake the environment and room. After making so many adjustments to the system I made the sound better but still wasn't the best..Just alright..Soo many features on the system, Treble, Surround,Bass,Subwoofer etc messed with them all and still didn't get the sound I wanted, after that roar all I could think was..Meh..not wow..I even got my brother to come over to see if its just me getting hearing loss and he felt the same way and actually said "meh"..Now this is also in my bedroom, a closed bedroom. With all that I just feel like returning the system and seeking a better surround sound..Also the back speakers(tiny) are wired so be warned and plan how you're going to run the wires and set that up...With that said..Anyone know where I can find better surround speakers under 300$ maybe even 500$?

I connected this soundbar using the included optical cable. Sound quality, clarity, bass, and overall sound is a great addition to my LG OLED tv I also purchased. I wish it had HDMI ARC output, but for the price, you can’t beat it. The store didn’t have it in stock, so I purchased it from Bestbuy.com sight unseen, but wow!
