I've setup a soundbar from LG before and it was so many steps... I almost gave up. So this time when I needed a soundbar for the new TV in another room.... I looked for a different brand. After looking around, I came across the VIZIO SB3851-C0M 38 5.1 soundbar system. And I am very pleased with the quality, sound and setup!! IT was very simple from the moment I unboxed it. Connections were straight forward and simple.

I reviewed multiple products in this price range and found this soundbar to be best in class for the price I paid. Complete value for money. Filling sound specially if you have an apartment situation.

This product sounds great and best of all the set up is really easy if you have a Vizio TV. I had a much higher priced JBL before this and I hated it.

I've only had a few weeks but I have been enjoying the sound. This one replaces an older 5.1 surround sound and it has a much better sound.. I like that I can plug in my ipod and listen to music with it. I haven't tried syncing any of my blue tooth devices to it yet but I think you can. I didn't want to spend the huge amount of money to go wireless in a system so this is what I chose. That said, the speaker cables should be a lot longer to get to where you would like to place them. If you have a larger living room or open floor plan you will need to go purchase longer cables if you want to mount the rear speakers to a wall.

This soundbar is great. Setup was easy and relatively quick and the sound is great.

I had bought a similar soundbar system for my living room and needed to purchase another for the game room. I walked into the store hoping to buy the same exact one because I had no complaints with it. Fortunately it wasn't available so I had to buy this one. I'm glad I did! It does everything I need and more! I really like the Bluetooth feature and the fact that I can use an auxiliary cable with it is a HUGE plus in my books. Would definitely recommend.

Moved to house without drop ceiling. Envisioned wires everywhere for home theatre. Only wires needed are behind sofa. Beware!! Subwoofer is booming. Start on low and gradually increase. I was able to have Best Buy price match and only paid $199.00. Great system even for full price.

I have read many reviews about this product from many sources and was excited about getting it. For the most part, it has been a great purchase. The sound feels like it is coming from everywhere and even confuses the dogs who felt that there was someone outside or window and started barking. But if you turn up the volume to hear the dialog better, then the speakers rattle and crackle which kind of hurts the effects. Not sure if I need to adjust the speaker settings somehow or if something on the selves are making the noise. Maybe they are not attached as tightly as they should to the wall. Whatever the case, the sound is great... up to a point.

I purchased this item because the Bose system I was looking for was not stocked in-store. I have two other soundbars in use and had not considered using one for my main entertainment sound source. I discussed this with a sales person and compared pros and cons. Turned out this was a logical fit for my particular needs. This was my first Vizio product purchase so I was not that familiar with the brand. While the sales person assisted another customer, I checked out several on-line reviews. Mixed bag, as with any of the electronics I had been checking on. I decided to give it a shot. Due to my limited experience connecting HDMI audio/video devices, it took a while to get it configured and operating with my Smart TV. Crash course in HDMI theory! Unit works great, no problems after two months of use.

I really like the system especially with the two smaller speakers makes the surroundsound sound a lot better it's worth spending the extra money to get them

I replaced my surround sound unit that I had for over 15 years with this Vizio 5.1 System. I was hoping to get the same or as close to it, sound quality that i had with the receiver that i was replacing. This is very close to the same quality, I would recomend this unit! Plus it comes with a wireless subwoofer and 2 exra speakers

This was fairly easy to set up and the sound is great.

Love the sound bar and speakers. The subwoofer is fantastic. Hubby had no trouble setting it up at all.

I really love this soundbar, I like that it has the optional wall speakers as well. I find that Vizio usually has very nice quality products for a reasonable price. These speakers feel very sturdy and well made, and the metal accents on the ends are nice. The sound is great, and perfect for someone who enjoys bass. (It is very bass-ey*?) Basically it has a very pronounced bass. If you play around with the many settings I'm sure you can find something that suits you though. (If you own these already had have issues with the bass I reccomend messing with the bass AND subwoofer settings). Setup is simple and easy, and can be hooked up a number of ways. I only wish that my ps4 could hook up directly to it via optical cable, though it doesn't seem to want to work that way. Overall very nice and I am very happy with this soundbar.

Great bar to start with I looked around and found this one it was better, the nice thing is best buy price matches so I pulled up a price and they matched easily. No run around just ok there it is and the manager cleared it. I got home and the sound bar sounds great after the setup at first it sound a lil groggy but setting it up and playing with all the sounds you get it great sounding.

The sound quality from this is great and the minimal wires/boxes makes it feel nice with our entertainment system. It's easy to get set up into your system. That said, once it's set up, how it connects to your TV/DVD/etc is strange. It takes over your TV sound system like it's supposed to, but when you use it with your TV (or other Universal type) remote, the only way to get the sound on is to turn the volume up. If it's set where you like it (like ours usually is) you then have to wait until the sound comes on and turn it back down again. Not a big deal, but when you have impatient kids (or even adults) you may find the sound is turned way up because someone was mashing the button trying to get it turned on. It's a frustrating feature, one that is often followed by "TURN IT DOWN!" being shouted by the other people in the room.
