Needed an extra TV for a seldom used bedroom. This TV has a great picture and has smart features also. Great quality for a good price.

Its a very good TV. I'm able to use all the smart apps, along with connecting my external drive. It has a great picture and great sound.

The picture and the sound on this TV is very good without any extra speakers. It was easy to setup and install, and very easy to use.

Picture is clear and setup was easy. The remote does not work with my provider service (Direct TV) so I may need a different remote.

I have had the TV approximately 2 months. First let me say that since we do not care about movie rentals or games, I do not use the available apps nor do I sync with my router. Therefore I cannot speak to those features. That said, overall I am very, very pleased with the Vizio 50” TV. Before purchasing I did a lot of research on LED backlight Smart HDTV’s. Before looking at prices, I research reviews from several different websites on Vizio, Samsung, Sony and others. I had my desired minimum features, and I stuck with those. In the end, I had narrowed it down to the Vizio and Sony. I settled on the Vizio because of the actual viewing angle in the store vs. the Sony. In the reviews there was a lot of talk about setting the proper adjustments to achieve the quality of picture you wanted. One reviewer even suggested a particular software that was designed just for calibrating an HDTV. The only thing I had to do to get a high-quality picture was to set the picture (“Pic” on remote) to “Vivid” and turn off the “Auto Brightness Control”. While auto brightness sounds like a good idea, I found that it did not adjust the picture brightness to my likening. It made the picture too dark in both lighted and unlighted rooms. As far as setup, it was exceptionally easy. I had to refer to the users online manual for one item and the rest was simple. I am using Time Warner with a Set Top box which was simple to interface, and the TW remote was easy to set to the Vizio TV. There was also a lot of criticism in reviews about the remote. Although I seldom use the Vizio remote I do not agree that the remote is as flimsy as many reviewers said. It certainly is not made of steel but it is not as bad as others have said. On the other hand, we do not have children to throw the remote around the room. Given that I do not use the features mentioned above and am not including those features in my rating, I give the Vizio E50-C1 LED Smart HDTV with 1080p screen a full 5 stars. I also give the salesman at Best Buy a thumbs up for his professional service and help.

In relation to the price-point of this TV, there is no better. Good picture quality, Smart TV functionality and good sound.

I've always used vizio. The last one I had was much smaller but it was always on and it lasted 4 years and is still going. So I'm hoping this one last just as long. The sound is great and the picture is clear. I have never had a smart tv till now and I enjoy it for everything from Netflix to pandora. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good priced smart tv, and it already have.

Replacing a similar sized plasma screen with this model. Was expecting to be a little disappointed with picture, but am surprised at the quality. Haven't used much of the smart functions yet. The sound was a little tough to set up for our own tastes, but with enough tinkering in the settings we found a good balance.

Fantastic picture and sound quality, and great value for the price. Love this Vizio - especially great for gaming!
