Great when it works

I regret buying this TV. When it works, it's awesome. Great picture, colors look fantastic, 50" seems perfect for the living room.
Now the problems. The TV is only about 2 months old. It drops the wireless network connection about once every other week and the only way to get it to restore is with a factory reset. All my other devices (computer, phone, PS4, etc.) are still able to connect to the wireless. I ran a wire through the middle of the room and the TV would still drop the connection. When I'm using any of the HDMI ports, the picture drops out and comes back. I've been through 3 different cables. I called Vizio support and they told me to check with the other companies to verify settings on my other devices. I will not be buying any more Vizio products and I would recommend you avoid them as well.

Disappointed. Purchased for my 80+ years parents for Christmas. Forgit to get protection plan. No help from BestBuy. Told me to purchase a new one. Costly to look at plus parts and labor. Purchased a cheaper brand with a 5 year extended warranty for cheap.

I should have listened to the sales rep who mentioned that Visio is of inferior quality compared to products such as Samsung, Sony etc. TV works great but I find that the picture quality is far inferior to the Samsung we have in another home.

Packaging was fine but corner of screen was damaged. Would not take back at the store!!!! Had to mail back and UPS store said they had two last week just like them go back.
Bestbuy.com needs to up their game. Will never buy from Bestbuy.com again. Poor customer service.
I had to beg them to return it. Moved into new house...bought TV but did not open box to for 17 days since we had no electric and they said no returns since it was past 15 days!!! No more. I understand the need for boundaries but really and a damaged product.
Spent an hour in the store trying to return and an hour on the phone to geta return label plus drive time to finally take it to the UPS Store.
Disappointed.

Tv would not access movie channels on direct tv. Saying my tv won't access because of content protection and I should replace my HDMI cable with component cables to view channel. If I wanted to do that I'd have bought a 720p tv not a 4K ultra. Less than a month later the tv would not even power on. I haven't even had the time to get Geek Squad to come and look at it yet. I'll refrain from language but it's a big Piece of junk!

I played with this TV in store. Messed with all the settings and decided to buy this TV. It has amazing picture quality. Sound quality was great, but could have been better when loud explosions happen in movies or games. I bought the Vizio 38in sound bar with 2 speakers and subwoofer since i am into movies and gaming then get it. If you don't to movies and games often then the sound is perfect.
The TV is easy to set up, easy to install. had 5 HDMI ports for all your accessories.
Software update was a drag took a while but after it was done no issues.
I WOULD BUY THIS TV.

Buying this TV is my biggest regret of my life. It doesn’t work with retro game system which is what I use a TV the most for. I told the person this before buying it but wasn’t told there would be a problem. I would have gotten a different TV if I had known there would be a problem. This TV is useless. Also the sound is awful.

Read reviews. They must have lied. TV color not that good must sit directly in front. Any thing on a slght angle color changes. Colors diffrent when watching from DVR. Terrible. Box should state it is a ISP. Always buy a VA. But they don't tell you that. Never again. Will buy a sharp TV when I can afford a new one.

Do not buy this tv if you are using an antennae for OTA channels. The digital tuner is not good and does not pick up the signal well. I exchanged for the Insignia brand which has a great digital tuner (my old Philips flatscreen had a great tuner as well)!

First I want to make clear the Netflix 4k works no problem. I read some reviews saying it didn't work not true. The reason why I gave it a 4 because the preset picture options are terrible.Its like they went out of there way to make it look bad. That being said I was not impressed even with the Netflix 4k lets just say that some content it better than others. Once i started messing with the settings for about an hour I felt impressed especially because of the price that you pay its well worth it. It will work with future UHD bluy rays and im not sure about the upscaling on bluy rays but it does look good so far. If you are on a budget and buying a new tv why not get the 4k since it is about the same price and a 1080p set. I have the ethernet cable plugged directly andnthe apps are flawless. It runs faster than my ps4 or xbox one. I cant say how the wifi is due to the fact i dont plan on using wifi but you dont need a crazy speed if its direct I have 18mbps wit At&T and its very fast and no buffering. Bottom line if your a person who does not like sitting there for the first week trying to get the picture right you will be kinda disappointed but if you have patience you will be happy with your purchase. If your a person who is very picky about motion blur in there movies u might also be disappointed but again you have to really play with the settings and thats why it gets 4 stars
