Picture great. Remote is kinda cheap feeling but seems to function ok. Sound is average but a few more watts would be nice when you dont want to turn on amplifier. All and all good start.

I love this tv, I bought this to replace my vizio 42" about a seven year old tv. I've been interested in a smart tv, and was on the prowl for 4K as well, so when I went on leave from military went shopping for one and did alot of research for one. I saw this one on best buy site and looked at reviews across several sites and all have great reviews, so now I'm ready for anything that is 4k outputted, the upscaling is great and it already makes the video games and movies I watch look even better, made an awesome decision

Nice picture and good features. Didn't think 4k would be that good, but was very impressed with the picture. Vizio is good brand. Can't complain so far.

This tv replaced a Samsung that died about 4 months after the warranty expired. I have been very satisfied with it. Great clear, vibrant picture quality. The sound is not the best so we use a sound bar which helps.

I bought this tv during the after thanksgiving sales and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Tv has a great picture and sound. It mounted to the wall pretty easy but I'm really short and needed assistance making it a 2 person job. I haven't really taken advantage of the smart features.

I am really enjoying this TV – it has a great picture; the sound is good and I love not having to go thru my blue ray to access Netflix! It perfectly suits my simple need of having a good quality picture and sound for watching TV, movies and Avalanche hockey!

While not the newer model I went looking for, I'm very pleased with what I walked away with. Picture from our hd Dish Network channels is good. Standard definition channels are a bit hard on the eyes. But it really shines when watching Blu Ray movies and digital hd content. Beautiful!
Only real negatives I will give it are: no sound or channel buttons on tv. Only a single power button. And, the remote makes for hard search navigation in included apps.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback for the D50u-D1. We have simplified the buttons on this model to be a power and input button, where other functions like volume adjustment are controlled by the remote. Searching in apps like Netflix and YouTube are made easier by having a smartphone or tablet connected to the same network as the TV, and searching from within that app, then sending it to your TV. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us at 1-877-878-4946. Thanks! –Collin

We needed a new HDTV and didn't want to break the bank as my previous one was broken by the kids. This is easy to use, has a good picture and the smart TV allows us to stream NetFlix wirelessly.

Needed to upgrade, wanted 4K. Did some research and was going for the two brands I knew well, Samsung and LG. Sales assistant suggested Vizio and as I wanted two tv's, he was able to fulfill my needs regarding screen size, features and stay close to my budget with Vizio. Never heard of this brand before but quite happy with my purchase, good quality picture, easy to set up and sound okay. We have a sound bar to add so this will get better.

Finally decided to switch out our 50" Philips TV and it amazes me how much detail I've been missing out watching our favorite shows and movies. The clarity of this television is superb.

This TV was much faster than the Samsung I first tried. The remote and menu are easy to use, and the lag time between pressing a button and the screen loading is small. Apparently, the processor in the VIZIO TV is more powerful than the one in the Samsung. It's also nice to have so many HDMI inputs. I can keep my Amazon Fire stick, Wii U, Chromecast, and Xbox One, and PS4 connected all at the same time and just use the remote to switch between devices instead of unplugging/replugging devices whenever I need to use them.

I bought this TV under protest after my 50 in Samsung suddenly died when it was only 20 months old. I searched this one a bit more thoroughly and crossed my fingers. Despite reading many reviews where folks were not happy with the picture quality I have been very happy.
Even when watching content that is not HD the picture seems sharper and brighter. The sound is average but I have it connected to a sound bar so it's not an issue for me. The setup was quick and straightforward. I fiddled around very briefly with the picture settings, and I'm no expert so there was nothing extensive and I did not follow the links provided by Visio that gives instructions on tweaking the picture.
These days, with these more advanced TV's I'm convinced that the beginning experience is not what is the most critical. They all seem to be pretty good in the first few months. It appears that whether or not they have reasonable longevity is the real test and with this one, it's too soon to tell.
I am still from the era where old school TV's with picture tubes lasted for years and years and only got replaced to upgrade to something that seemed fancier with more bells and whistles. Don't get me wrong, I like bells and whistles as much as the next person, but I was very angry that a set that cost over $700 (the dead Samsung) did not last even 2 years. We will see if the Visio beats it. Just to be safe, I bit the bullet and bought the extended warranty this time.
