||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not realize this tv requires the use of the Chromecast remote from your personal device (mobile or tablet). When accessing any applications (Netflix, Amazon, etc.), you will be required to stream the app from your personal device to use ANY app. I even called Visio to find a workaround and unfortunately, this is the only way to access apps. Think about this example before purchasing: let's say you want to watch a movie from netflix. You will have to open the Netflix app on your personal device, then connect to the TV for it to stream and be viewable. Then, you get a phone call while you're watching the movie. Since the Netflix app is steaming from your personal device (cell phone), it will completely interrupt the movie. On top of that, I thought the chrome cast app was not userfriendly. Good luck in your tv search!

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. A few things about casting content. When you open an application like Netflix and tap on the "Cast" icon, the display takes the command and acts independently of the phone, tablet, or computer that was used to start the stream. Your device will still act as a remote but if a phone call is received while watching content, the stream will not be interupted and the phone is simply a remote for the app. Additionally we are working on an update that will add select applications onto the display as well continuing our support for casting different applications.

It also does not really stream programming like Netflix on its own, you have to use your phone to stream. Don't bother.

This means that you use a smart phone, tablet, or computer and use them as a control device that tells the display or device to go get this content and play it. This gives you access to thousands of different applications to watch what you want to watch when you want to watch it.
