Yes, this is not a smart tv but it is so much easier to use. Downloading the Vizio app and connecting to the tv was easy. It works just like chromcast. Surf your smart phone and put the app right on the screen. So much easier than a remote. Picture is good quality. Very good overall quality for the price

The channel changer could have more controls. All it has are on/off and volume up/down and channel up/down. There are no number buttons so you cannot go directly to other channels without going through all the numbers. The picture is satisfactory, but the 43" version of the same tv which I also own is superior

You can't beat the price of this flatscreen. Vizio is a great brand and the picture on this 55" is really fantastic. The only thing I don't like is that the bottom legs are on the ends of the TV and the screen doesn't swivel. I use an Apple TV so the criticism of the Chromecast feature doesn't apply here.

A bit complicated to set up but good quality picture. No complaints so far other then that.

Vizio has the best value in the business. However, on this one, you can't access the TV menus from their cheap remote. It can only be accessed via the app. That's always bad in my opinion. You should be able to access from either. Other than that, great TV!

Great price for the brand and size! The clarity and ease of use is awesome!

TV pic and sound is good. The remote is not very intuitive and kind of awkward to use. But you can use the cable box remote for most functions except for changing inputs.

This is a great TV so far. I am using it as our bedroom TV and it is absolutely HUGE! Great picture, decent sound, but the best feature is the SmartCast. While it may turn some people off having to use a tablet/smartphone in order to watch Netflix, I think it's really handy. I mean, we all have one in our hands 24/7 anyways, so what's the big deal. Anyways, I was hesitant about getting a Vizio as a 50" Samsung was just a little less $. I had a 32" Vizio LCD for almost 7 years. So I think (hope) this one will last just as long.

The TV has a great picture and is worth the money. The sound isn't that loud and the remote is very limited. It only has 8 buttons and no numbers, you have to use the app on your phone or tablet

This TV has the latest sleek design and you get a good quality picture and good quality sound without spending a fortune. Fairly simple to operate. No frills remote.But Vizio is a trusted brand.

TV has a great picture and good refresh rate, not a lot of help to use the Visiocast, did some research to figure it out, now I love it!!! I bought a second one i like them so much!

We purchased this Vizio because the value was great and we had purchased Vizio's in the past but were very dissapointed for 2 reasons. The sound quality was not good at all. Speaker enhancement is almost a must for this model. The other negative was that although it is a smart tv, it does not come with a smart remote. You have to use your phone to operate the smart features. Didn't sound so bad but the blue tooth hook up wasn't working consistently and having to always use your phone really becomes cumbersome!

Was looking to replace a very old LCD TV and this fit my requirements. Wanted 1080P, 3 HDMI inputs, ChromeCast & Vizio Cast ability, and internet capability. Very few TV's in this price range have 3 HDMI inputs. Picture quality is very good after calibration. Only down side is remote really doesn't do much. For set up and adjustments you must d/l the Vizio app to do anything other than turn on, change channels, and adjust volume. Would buy again and recommend to others.

Good picture,sound. I currently do not have wifi at home and so am unable to comment on the "smart" aspects of it. Only frustrating thing is the remote. Very basic and no numbers to jump from channel to channel... It does have feature where you can download an app to your phone to operate the tv that way but again, without wifi at home and just using the digital HDTV, still a good product. I have noticed that at times, even with good weather & reception, the tv will cut out and be blank for few seconds.... not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if I got a faulty tv?? Overall good tv for the price.

I like that the tv is large enough (55") to watch a movie and shows, I also like the HD effect plus the tv sound system is good too. Plus the the tv is not very heavy.

Very happy with this TV it is a basement TV for us so I don’t see it in Brightlight very often, but in the dark the colors are crisp! I also like that I can control it with my telephone

Don't let the name Smart TV confuse you in thinking that there are applications preloaded onto the TV. In order to utilize applications on this TV you have to download the Vizio television application to your smartphone or tablet and then send the signal, source, content from your handheld device to the TV. I had to purchase and HDMI Smart Stick and plug that into the TV in order to have applications on the TV set opposed to on my handheld device sending to the TV set. The main reason I am keeping this TV was due to the extreme discount I received on the television, and this TV does operate great as a normal monitor...otherwise I would return the TV for a true Smart TV with loaded applications. The remote is very basic and I am not over exaggerating by saying that. They are trying to force you into using their application on your smartphone to act as a remote control. I just utilized my expensive universal remote control I already had to operate the television.

So this is a smartcast TV. Meaning if you're not updated on the latest technology of your phone being the remote then you will most likely get frustrated. I'm not a huge techie myself but the fact that my phone is the only one setup as a remote, it is a little annoying having to give your phone so that whoever is watching it can browse through Hulu/Netflix or whatever. I love the picture quality! Never fails!

I have had this TV a little over a month. the picture is outstanding on all of the web broadcast's, so when I'm on cable TV. I know its the way Comcast Cable is broadcasting at 720 not 1080 and that is effecting the clarity... The speed (refresh rate ) of the TV keeps up with the sports and action shows I watch nicely. All in all I am well satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this TV because I am very happy with two previously purchased Vizio SmartTVs. However, this series includes the build in Chromecast and buyers should know that the idea is to use your smart phone or tablet as your remote. The included remote has very limited functionality. We really struggled to pair the TV with an iPhone 7, having to repeat the process several times. I personally am not too happy with that, but the picture quality, etc. is fine for the price.
