One Remote for TV and Sound Bar!

It was very simple to set up with my Vizio TV and, because it has an HDMI Arc connection, my TV immediately recognized it so I am able to use one remote control. That was a big selling point for me (I didn’t want to have to fool with two different remotes). The sound is excellent. We use it in our den which is about 18’ X 14’ and opens into our kitchen. So it’s not a small room. I appreciate the simple design of the sound bar. It sits just in front of my TV and is hardly noticeable. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would certainly recommend it.

Surround sound, little more bass but nothing special, still sounded like a cheap surround sound. My friend got this Vizio M series sound bar. Just the bar. I had to get one. The bass is cleaner even without a subwoofer. I don’t even know how it does such deep clean room filling bass from a sound bar. The clarity is amazing. Fills the room with sound. This sounds so much better then a cheap 5.1 surround sound system. You miss out on some dedicated rear effects but the trade off of having 99% of the movie sounds so much richer and movie theater like… it’s not even a question of which one is better.

During set up the remote fell apart while attempting to install batteries. Lackluster sound. Returned it the next day, including all 4 parts the remote collapsed into. It's the old adage "you get what you pay for." In my opinion it's overpriced at $150. Definitely would not recommend.

Great 2.1 Soundbar

Nite setting and Roku remote is able to pair with it. Bass is good and both bass and treble can be modified as wanted. Note it is a 2.1 so no need for bluetooth remote bass for us. Was very nice and bought another for man cave. Hope it lasts a few years at least.

Our entertainment space is roughly 12x16 feet and this produces a good experience. The reason for only 2 stars is due to the fact that this product cannot be renamed during setup and it doesn't require verification for bluetooth connection, so anyone can connect to it at any time. We live in an apartment so this is REALLY inconvenient and it happens frequently. Seems like this could be resolved with a firmware update.

Posted .Hello Carrie, Bluetooth connections do not require a Wi-Fi connection or password. However, the sound bar would need to be placed on the Bluetooth input to get audio from another Bluetooth device like a phone or a tablet. Keeping the sound bar off of the Bluetooth input will prevent them from playing audio to your sound bar. If they are able to change the input on the sound bar to Bluetooth without your knowledge or permission, that would indicate they are on your Wi-Fi network which would then allow them to change the input to Bluetooth themselves and start to play content. In that case, you will want to speak with your Wi-Fi service provider about securing your Wi-Fi network so they cannot access it and change the inputs on your devices anymore. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a newer Samsung smart TV. I connected this Vizio sound bar using a HDMI cable and eArc ports. The problem is, my TV will not connect to the Vizio through the HDMI ports unless I unplug the TV each time doing a hard reboot. Bluetooth connection works fine without needing to unplug the TV each time I watch. I'm at a loss as to why it won't connect via HDMI eArc without killing the power to the TV and rebooting? Otherwise, the Vizio sounds great and love it if I can only get this issue resolved.
