A great Ultra HD TV at an affordable price

The P-series Vizio UHD TVs are a great bargain. They have many of the high tech features of much more expensive TVs at a very reasonable price. The TV is excellent for viewing 1080 HD material and looks incredible with 4K content. Some of the issues with earlier firmware that you may seen in earlier reviews have been solved. You will not go wrong in buying this TV at a much better price than the competition.

I bought this tv on cyber Monday, the price was the best I has seen thus far for a 4k television set. I wanted to go with a 70 or 80 inch set but settled on the 65 inch, your perception of the size of these tv"s are thrown off in the stores when you are looking at the huge 80 inch and larger sets. I am happy to say the 65 inch was plenty for my living room. The picture of this tv was impressive, I am very impressed with the clarity of Netflix on this set. I have seen details in movies that I have viewed previous at a level I did not know existed. To get true 4k streaming, you need at least 25Megs of internet bandwith to stream that much video data. The only item I think Vizio could have done better with this tv is the speakers. The speakers are rear firing, which means they face the back of the tv. I have front and down firing speakers on all of my other flat panel tv's and I do not need to raise the volume very high to get good audio from them. This tv unfortunately requires that I turn the volume up very high to gain some audio clarity while watching movies. I plan on addressing this with a sound bar and my home theater receiver that I have in storage. Other than that I am very happy with this purchase, hard to beat a 4k tv for $1400.

I've been very surprised by this TV. You would think a 4k TV at this price may not be worth considering but I have been amazed by everything this "entry-level" TV can do. Before I bought the P Series I bought a 65 inch LG 4k TV and was disappointed with its lack luster performance. I love LG as a company but I felt that the picture quality was grainy, it had a lot a ghosting, and there was no real upscaling to speak of so I returned it and waited for the P Series to come out, thankfully I was rewarded with a very capable TV for less money. I ended up getting the TV, a Vizio 5.1 sound bar (which is excellent) and two rear speaker stands for the same price I paid for just the LG TV and this TV out performs it to boot. The Vizio does have a couple quirks which others may have touched upon but all of them can be solved with firmware updates which I'm sure Vizio is working on because they seem to truly care about support for this TV. I've called Vizio customer service once or twice with questions and they are very friendly and knowledgeable, they seem to know about most of the quirks and they have said that their engineers are already working to fix them.

If you want to upgrade your HD and not pay crazy prices, this is a solid and fantastic item! Set up was pretty easy but advance set up needs a little patience and investigation. I still cannot figure out how to not upscale my PS4 due to the fact on ultra HD it is choppy and can't keep up the refresh rate, but besides that issue, I love the picture quality and the wifi built in is great, with lots of goodies such as Netflix streaming super easy direct. This is a great buy.

I bought this TV about 2 months ago. I'm coming from a very nice very clear Samsung plasma. I wasn't sure about the vizio brand because I've never owned one myself. I've heard nothing but good things about vizio so on black Friday I decided to make the purchase. My impressions now are that this UHD TV is the nicest TV I've owned. Even down to little details like the keyboard on the back of the remote. I love this TV and I will buy another for my other room. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone. by the way it streams 4k though Netflix. The verdict nothing short of AMAZING!

Great picture, I am very impressed with the tv. I run it with a receiver and 7.1 sound (so haven't used the TV speakers and cannot comment on those). It was easy to set up and it connected to my internet seamlessly.
I replaced a 46" 240 htz LED Samsung and this tv fits my wall space better. I didn't lose image quality with the size upgrade (even though it's not not a Samsung which I love to death). Vizio has it down too. I was nervous at first with the change in brand, but I am happy with everything on this tv. Totally recommend this!

The picture is phenomenal. ***Make sure you do a forced update on the firmware to the current version using the Menu Button on the remote. **** Mine came with old version 1.1.4. Look under "System Information" scroll down to "Service Check" and select it and then select "Yes," then turn your TV off for 20-minutes for the upload, then turn it back on. You want to now be at version 1.1.14 (most current as of when I am writing this.) ****You will be very disappointed in the picture if you do not do this immediately it was bad before doing this per many TV review forums online, so I knew to check from reading online***** I will admit the picture quality was terrible before upgrading. The difference is unbelievable once this is done.
Also make sure you have HD Cable/Satellite/Internet TV (whichever provider you have) otherwise the picture will be sub-par. My previous TV was too old to benefit from HD broadcasts (I have Internet TV) so I had to upgrade my service. When it was updated about 5 hours after, the crispness of the TV picture became perfect.
I have been told that for any ultra-HD TV you want to hire a TV Calibration Service to come out and do a calibration for the best picture possible. I have not done that. I might the cost in my area (Houston,TX) is $350 for an A/V company to come out and do it.
I got it on sale for $1499. I also got the VIZIO - 5.1-Channel Soundbar System with Bluetooth and 8" Wireless Subwoofer on sale, with the Sanus - Adjustable-Height Speaker Stands (pair) as a free package sales item, so I saved a fortune!

We have ours hooked upto DirectTv, which we signed up for through Best Buy and received a $150 Best Buy gift card...AWESOME. Comment me if you want my DirecTv referral number so you can get $10 off for 10 months when you sign up too The Vizio has the capability to upgrade a HD signal/picture up to as close as you can get to 4k. It is truely amazing. Not a day goes by that we dont say..."I love my new TV". Our Best Buy sales persone was Awesome too! It has been a very positive experience!

Purchased as somewhat of an impulse buy, but glad that I did! The picture on this thing is amazing and since they have upped the processors in this line of tvs the menus run a lot smoother. I would say the quality of the picture could be compared to Samsung & Sony. If you want to save the money but not sacrifice quality I would go with this one.

In my case I really wanted the Sony 65 XBR 900B which based on reviews is one of the best TVs but I couldn't get my wife past the side speakers so I settled on this TV particularly because its great price point and because I could use a 10% movers discount coupon. My price at the time was 1499.99 less 10% plus tax so I was out the door for $1461.37. Over $2000 less than the Sony.
Picture on high def is great. However, video can look over processed and heavily pixelated, particularly watching live sports or SDTV.
I would say that for the money it is a great picture and a great buy. But if you are looking for and can afford a high end TV, step up to a higher quality and overpriced unit.
You usually get what you pay for :)

Went into store looking for something larger than 55", thinking of a Sony or Samsung and came across this floor model. Had never purchased Vizio before, but thought I'd give it a try. The price point was much lower than either Sony or Samsung, but amazingly, the picture quality was comparable. As I wasn't looking to use my tv for anything other than watching it (no gaming, etc.) it was a good fit for me.

This vizio has a great picture. Apps are quick and easy to use. Sound output could be better but i just keep the volume up pretty high. Only con is that it is sometimes slow to turn on after the power button is pressed. I did a firmware update and it fixed it for a while but then it came back. Guess i need to update again.

This Vizio TV offers a great picture for the price. A little bit of motion blur with really fast action. The sound is not that great, but we will be using it with a surround sound system. Styling is okay, but would have been better without the little Vizio emblem sticking down off of the corner of the bezel.

I can't even explain how AWESOME this TV really is. Superb picture with bright vivid colors. 4K looks amazing at the fraction of a ridiculously expensive sony, samsung or LG. I was never a big fan of VIZIO but thats changed now. Awesome job VIZIO keep it up!

Love the apps, the visual, the price, and LOVE the mini keyboard remote. My only con's are the Yahoo apps they don't let you remove, and the remote not being radio frequency (its a really powerful IR). I wouldn't buy anything else at 65 inches. I didn't want a curve, and I didn't want 3D.

Excellent color and brightness in a big picture. Fairly easy to setup. Lots of features and internet apps. Can get complicated if you want to custom adjust a lot of things, but the options are there. I don't think you can put your computer screen up, or surf internet on this tv.

The thin bezel really adds to a great viewing experience. My last TV was a Sharp Aquos 60 inch and had a really nice picture, but this TV beats it hands down! The remote is really cool with well thought out quick buttons and a full qwerty style keyboard on the back.

I have owned several vizio tv's and I have to say this is the best by far. Quality is awesome and I love the keyboard on the back of the remote. don't waist your money on a Samsung or Sony.. There is no difference. if anything Vizo quality is just as good or better.

I so love this TV but my 2 year old loves it the most and is hooked on Netflix. The two sided remote is awesome and I love how I can change my picture settings to suit my mood- like if I am watching a movie I may want a darker picture view versus a game show where I may want a brighter view. Overall this is an AWESOME TV!!!

Nice TV with a huge screen. Setup went quite easy, done myself. I still need to work on the settings to get rid of some of the "soap opera" effect, but overall quite happy with the purchase.
