I am glad I dont have to replace the wick anymore, but I wish the fan on this device was stronger. Also, the water never fully drains in device so you have to pour it out.

Puts out lots of moist air

Hard water will precipitate on heating element and reservoir. I used vinegar and hot water to clean. A packet of cleaner is given for the heating element and you can call the company to get more. The main reason I bought the humidifier is I was getting nose bleeding which has stopped since use of this device which can use cool mist or vapor.

There are a few different options that I played with at first but ended up just setting it to 50% humidity for the plants and then put it on automatic. It has been keeping it much closer to 50% than any other one I've tried and I leave the door open to the grow room and have a wood stove, so things normally tend to get dry. Lettuce and peppers already seem to be responding very well to the new climate
