the sound is not very loud, nice heat, I live in a small two-room brick apartment, it heats well the living room.

I am a Vornado fanboy. I have many of fans... stand fans, floor fans, personal fans etc. This was to replace a cheap "off brand" similar featured, sized and format heater I had been using. The Vornado is much, much quieter, it heats very well and somehow, magically seems to heat a much bigger area. The best way to describe the difference is my previous tower heater, would provide the heat directly in front of it and in a very shallow cone of warmth. The Vornado seems to heat a much larger area with no particular hot spot. My gripes are twofold.. First, I don't much care for the way they implemented the touch controls. I would have preferred buttons that provide tactile feedback so you know you have pressed it and you know exactly where to put you finger to affect a change. Second once the heater reaches your desired set temperature... it does not simply shut off. The fan will keep running, albeit and a very slow speed, but basically it is blowing cold (non heated) air during this time. My logic tells me its doing that to keep the temp where you set it and achieve that whole magical heat the area not an object type deal, but its still a bit odd and I would like a choice not to have it do that. The cool air deal is the only reason I did not give this 5 stars. Even sooo I love the product, it easily replaced my previous model (that I know use in our bathroom) and I think it heats much more evenly and smooth if that makes sense. Good for a bedroom over the garage that is always colder on the winter. My teenage son uses it and it gives out sufficient heat and the best feature it the top over safety feature. I trust this brand as this is the only ones we use at the company I work for. It is slim and takes little space. Would buy smother abs highly recommend. Bought it as deal of the day for 89.99 but saw it for 79.99 after. Esther way it’s a good price for quality and performance.

I have tried for years to get a heater that worked as advertised. OK, I wasn't wiling to spend as much as this one costs. Wasted more than this one cost on junk heaters. This one does the job and has been worth every cent. I live in a bi-level house and use this heater in the coldest room, a room that faces the prevailing winds. When I get up in the morning I take the chill out of the entire house with the furnace. After doing so, I turn the thermostat way back and use the heater to heat the room I spend most of my time in, the aforementioned coldest room in the house. This past winter has been extremely cold and this heater has done a fantastic job. Not only does it heat the room in short order it holds the temperature nice and even.

The heater when picked up was in a paper box that was beat up and label affixed suggested it came from a different source than the manufacturer. Right out of the box I plugged it in the AC and huge amount of smoke came out. Reconnected it and no heat came out of it. Finally figured out how to reset it and it is actually a pretty good product but took quite long to warm up a closed-door room of less than 200 sq ft. It is handy I can put it on a pedestal table or anywhere. The warmth it generated was good for my purpose and I hope it is durable. If you need to run it in High Level mode with Constant fan the noise crank up but for me it is not too noise, but audible. Since that is a old model I do not know how it fares when compared to newer, more recent heaters from other manufacturers.

Works very well, we are satisfied. Priced appropriately.

this heater actually kept me warm this winter when my landlord turned off the heaterI was taking second thoughts cuz this was the only heater they had available it was a great heater

Very sleek design. Love how fast it heats up and it's pretty quiet. Must have for a small to mid size room

I am very pleased with the overall performance and value of this heater. The only negative is that it never stops running, even when the thermostat is satisfied.

Set up my heater in the basement and use it to take off the winter chill until the furnace catches up.

I love this space heater. I can select the temperature I want in the room, choose how fast the air blows, and set it for continuos or automatic fan. It warms a room fast and is extremely quite and takes up very little room. If only I could give it 10 stars...

This heater is good for small spaces, but does not heat our basement that well. It is better than nothing.

While the heater seemed to heat fine it was terribly noisy. It sounded like loose metal flapping. Returned it to the store for a refund.

Grandma loves it! Works very well, keeps her warm and toasty. Has a nice digital readout on top automatic shut off if knocked over which is great with my little guy running bout. Def recommend this heater

I have two of these bad boys! I bought my first one two years ago when the "polar vortex" came through. The best feature has to be the fact that if for some reason it falls over it stops working immediately.

The first Vornado Ath1 we ordered would not heat, but blew out cold air. Even the touch control generated numbers on its own. We returned it, and ordered a new unit. So far, the replacement unit heats the room in no time, with a powerful circulating fan. It is, also, an amazingly quiet heater.

I love this space heater I want to buy another one, but not sure if this late in the winter season I can find one at my Best Buy. I took the last one on the shelf . . .

This heater is awesome. You turn it on and a few minutes later your room is warm and toasty!
