I purchased the device for my son in early December in order to download additional games and have it ready for him in time for Christmas. During the unboxing process nothing much could be done due to a security breach with VTech registration portal. I contacted VTech for an update and was told their Learning Lodge database was hacked and they have no ETA when it would be up again. I decided to give the company the benefit of the doubt and keep it since it seems like a genuine kid tablet which I wanted for my child. Comes Dec 26 we still cannot register nor do anything, no update from VTech when contacted. I decided to buy some game cartridges for the time being which was useless as registration is mandatory in order to use them which cannot be done due to no registration. Everything was packed and returned back to the store for a nonfunctional device and a manufacture who is clueless about their product availability

Unfortunately, I cannot give an accurate review on the product itself, because WE COULD NOT USE IT!! There has been a cyber attack on the Learning Lodge database, which is what you need to register your tablet. Until you register your tablet, YOU CANNOT DO A SINGLE THING ON IT!! Santa brought this for our 4-year-old, and now we will not have a tablet until mid-January, and that's if I even want to trust this site and it's functions. I'm very cautious of even keeping this tablet considering who would want to put any of their personal info and credit card numbers on Learning Lodge, if it's been hacked once already. SOOOOO DISAPPOINTING!!

the product read out everything i was looking forward to for my toddler , but when his grandpa shipped it from an online order we got the product and when registering it to start programs it would not bypass an error message on connect to WIFI, i took it instore to geek squad and of course they got same error message, so they returned it on giftcard an reorder a second one and what luck?! another shipped to store with same processing error factor! this is not a good prduct at all! and ruined our christmas~

I purchase this a month ago for my two year old after charging it for the allotted hours it would not work. I went to Best Buy and traded it for another one after speaking to Vtech (they couldn't help). The new one worked until it was time to charge it again and all it did was shut and on. I've been took this one back too Best Buy and they suggested that I did not get a new one sense they were no longer making them. Needless to say get something else for your child.

Bought this for my daughters 5th birthday and she and I are VERY disappointed. The tablet won't even function without a wi-fi connection so it can't be used on the road. You can't even begin to use it, even with cartridges. So we went ahead to try to connect to 4 different Wi-Fi networks. The tablet still would not function. I now have to take this back because it is of NO use.

This tablet is especially good when you have another V-Tech tablet. Utilize the same account and share games. This tablet has great parental control creatures and has a good battery life. Definetly recommend. My kids love it!
