This the my third tablet I've purchased from this Intuos model line. I already own the large, medium and now the small version. The small tablet if perfect for travel job when packing light is important.
Would be nice if Wacom released this model with all of the buttons. As an editor I find no use for them. Just my opinion!

I've had the Wacom Pro for a little over two weeks now and it's absolutely perfect for digital editing. I use it heavily in Lightroom and Photoshop and it's made processing photos significantly easier and faster compared to a mouse or touchpad. The programmable buttons and gesture control make common tasks even easier.
The only issue I've ran into, is frequent wireless disconnection. It seems to be a fairly common problem according to other online reviews. The signal runs on 2.4 gHz and seems prone to a lot of interference from other wireless devices, which gets worse the further apart you are from your machine. The good news, is that the supplied USB cable is plenty long for most uses, making wireless connection more of a luxury than an every day necessity.

It is very user friendly. Once the drivers are installed it is nice to work with. The programable buttons are something the get use to with programing what you want but its a great product.

We use the Wacom tablets every day in our work and have for 17 years. They are very reliable. Wacom tablets are the industry standard for pro photographers and graphic artists.

I am trying to get into digital art, so I thought this would be a fun experiment. And it definitely is. Connects effortlessly with my Mac and I have enjoyed starting to get into a new hobby.
I especially like the configurable shortcut keys and the fact that I can use it as a multi-touch input device with my Mac.
Wireless is a great feature. But, beyond what I have listed, I can't say much more...still a novice.

All went smoothly with the installation, and the software is pretty intuitive, though there is some confusion because there are two different control panels for the tablet. Take the time to learn how to use it. This is a very different workflow than using a mouse or trackball, and there will be an adjustment period. However, once you learn it, photo editing will speed up and become easier and more enjoyable. I purchased the small size, and it works well for me. Someone who wants to draw with it should look into the medium or large sizes.

I agonized for weeks over whether to splurge on the large screen Intuos Pro or to go with the medium. When I got to the store, the large and medium were sold out so I ended up with the small. And I am so glad I did. I am not an artist and wanted this tool primarily for fine detail editing of macro insect photographs. It has made my work much easier and a lot faster. The work area is HUGE and, if I had bought the larger screen, I would have had to use the built-in resizing feature to shrink the work area to something practical. In fact I have even trimmed the size of the small screen in order to limit the amount of hand movement.
You should be aware that this is not an intuitive device and it takes a while to really get a feel for many programmable shortcuts and how the stylus and screen interact with your movements and hand pressure - but once it all starts to click, this pad becomes as indispensable as a keyboard. Like a high-end DSLR, there is always more to discover about this machine's capabilities. For the gadget-inclined, it is nirvana! One suggestion... buy a purpose-built hard case to store the stylus and screen (there are several very reasonably priced cases available) - it doesn't fit well in a tablet or laptop case and the screen is worth protecting. It is not a cheap toy, by any means, but it is worth every penny. I recommend this device, without reservation, for anyone who needs a fast, versatile, and powerful alternative to a finger and a trackpad. Awesome gear!

Love this tablet got the small for my 27in after doing research got the small one for what I needed. I only use a fraction of the tablet so I don't have to use arm motions and can use small movements and t works great! Takes some getting use to but love it

I considered buying the large one, but ultimately decided on the small size and I'm glad I did. I like how it is compact but still does not limit my ability to draw. It is just right for me. I like it better than the other Intous tablet I had. You can tell that this one is for professional use.

I do a bit of photo editing as a hobby, specially when I'm on the road. I found this tablet to be a great compromise between size and functionality. It's about the same size as my laptop making it fit my backpack. The responsiveness is great. The only downside is that not the whole tablet is usable. The edges cannot be used as they do not register contact. I feel that it is alot of lost touch real-estate.

I have been using a Wacom tablet for years now and it is the best thing when working in Photoshop or the design programs like Illustrator. It's very intuitive once you get used to it and handles like a pen and paper. You can go right to the spot you need without much effort, lift the pen move put the pen down and bam you're cursor is in the spot. Makes life much easier. It makes lines drawn of selection so much easier than trying to get your mouse to turn in the correct direction. Much smoother with the table!! The small one is a perfect size when you don't have much room but still gives you the full screen access in that small space. It comes with several pen tips to give you the feel you're used to when using the real pens. There's felt and smooth and some others and just enough roughness to get great tactile feedback. Feel just like paper and pen!

This Wacom is awesome for any artist as long as you are happy with the pen drawing the moment it touches the screen. I like to disable the feature and click a button to draw. Doing so causes complications in Photoshop and I have to switch from the eraser and back to correct it. Going with a touch pad instead of a mouse makes it hard to do normal mouse activities. I'm not fond of it and find myself wanting to buy a mouse now. I miss my Intros 3 because of this feature. However, it is AWESOME to use the feature along with the wireless pad for art panels and presentations. You can carry it around as you do your speaking. I no longer have to stand behind my computer as I direct everything. The Radial Menu was a great idea as well. I can now have more quick button features without having to press anything on my keyboard and I don't have to be near the computer at all. Even with the lack of a mouse, I am a lot more happy with this Intros than I am with my old one. The wireless feature is a plus in my book. I think for the most part, Wacom is going in the right direction.

"Best Present Ever"

I bought the Wacom Tablet for my artist daughter. I got a great deal and apparently it is the "best present" I ever got for her. She is still learning all the tips and tricks involved so I rarely see her anymore except when she discovers something new it can do or when she invites her artist friends over to work on art projects together.(They all have this tablet or the larger one and these artists are always starving when they get to my house) They have come up with some really cool sketches, drawings and comics. All in all I assume from her reaction that it is a great product. (I think it's great also, I use it in Photo Shop when she's not home and sometimes I let her six year old son draw something with it! He's getting good)

Purchased for photo editing with Lightroom and Photoshop. Works great. Buttons and dial work well with these programs right out of the box. Wireless is solid. I wish that the holder for the pen was built into the tablet, instead of being separate. This should hold me over until I can draw directly on a 20" tablet for less than $500.

New thinner design, wireless feature added, smaller footprint on desk, I definitely recommended! Regardless of your creative medium its actually really easy to use and I often find myself just browsing the internet with it. I would suggest you customize the buttons on the pad and the pen to make your creative work flow more efficient.

Use for touchpad

I bought this to use mostly as a touchpad and replace a logitech one that was flaking out. Overall after a month, it's more consistent than the Logitech touchpad. The software and gestures work well. I don't have a ton of experience with the pen, but what little I have, it seems to be very touchy, but maybe that's because I have two monitors and a large desktop.
The biggest drawback, it's an expensive touchpad, but when you use it 10 hours/day, consistency is worth it.
