I was glad to find this EV charger in stock at my local BestBuy. It is extremely hard to find any kind of charger in store anywhere. This is a highly rated, well extremely well built device. The cord is of very good quality, and the charger has a very solid, quality feel to it. The app is really simple to use and being a plug in unit, installation was a breeze once you get the appropriate plug installed at your location. Very small in size but extremely capable. I loved that you could internally set the maximum power going into the unit to prevent overloading your circuit. After that you can use the app for scheduling, charge times, and amps output. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

The Wallbox chargers work well. There's an app, but you don't need to use it. You can set it for different power levels. You can replace the plug cord or the charger cord if they are ever damaged. And you can do power limiting. And it meets energy saving standards when used without a GFCI (e.g. wired directly to your home). Good.
Weaknesss include a relatively poor strain relief on the charger cord (tighten it up yourself).

I'm very happy I went with this charger. I was deciding between a few options, but I ultimately chose this because it's the only one I knew for certain had current limits you can adjust on the fly. This is nice if you don't need it charged super quick, or you have a lot of stuff running in your house.
The initial setup did take a couple tries, both with getting the phone paired and installing the first update on the charger. Once I was got it working, it's been great. The Wi-Fi works well, and it connects quickly. The app is very clean and easy to use. I know other products do this, but it tracks your usage, and can give you the cost if you add how much you pay per kWh. You can enable/disable the charger easily, which is helpful if you're worried about neighbors or if you want to use it with charger sharing sites.
If you have to install yours freestanding, I do recommend their pedestal. It's not cheap, but looks very nice. The only downside is that it only uses two bolts to mount, and could benefit from two more to keep it steady. Something you'd be able to do by drilling a couple extra holes.

The installation was straightforward with the NMEA 14-50 plug. I am able to use the 40Amp setting on my 50Amp breaker. I’m now able to charge almost 50% faster than the charger that came with my vehicle.
The app makes it easy to track my electricity usage and estimate my cost for charging.
The build quality of the charging plug and cable feels solid. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would consider buying another for a second location.

Seems to be a good fast 40-amp charger for home use so far. Easy to install if you already have a NEMA 14-50 plug with a 50-amp breaker. In that case, just mount it on the wall and plug it in. Though, the cord for the plug is very short. Must be mounted very close to the plug. Software/App setup was easy. It seems to be about twice as fast as the old 32-amp charger I had. Good upgrade . . . if it holds up over time.

The Wall Box EV charger is working great. It was easy to set up and easy to use. I had to hire an electrician to install a plug and connect it to the box but that was it. Sign up for the EV program with the power company. Love it.

I was able to quickly connect the unit with an existong nema 16-50 socket and get it working (charging an ev car) in a few minutes. Installation was super quick. Installation is a solid 5. However, then the Bluetooth connection to phone became extremely difficult. In the 10+ attempts, i always had some trouble to connect. Tried with 3 different phones, restarted the charger, removed & plugged back in, uninstalled & reinstalled the raspberry pi board, I tried all the possibilities of troubleshooting, with help from wallbox CS agent. Because no Bluetooth, there is no wifi. This literally becomes a dumb charger without all the premium feautures. For the connection/quality control part, it is a 1 out of 5. Although i eventually returned the unit due to a fault unit, i have to admit that the CS agent lady went extra miles to instruct me with all the different tricks and ways to reset the unit. I would rate 5 for the CS part. So overall, a 3 star rating.

It might still surprise you to hear that not all modern electric vehicles are 'smart' - yes, most of them have some form of 5g or wireless , connectivity but a lot of modern vehicles still don't allow you to schedule charging windows.
Once upon a time, this was probably not a big deal - especially if like me you have solar panels on the house and the different between peak/off-peak/super-off peak was a couple of cents. However in todays economic environment where electricity prices are going through the roof, it's no longer just an inconvenience, and if you're not fully in control of your consumption you can hit with a hefty bill.
In our house we lease a popular Swedish brand of hybrid EV / hybrid, and despite me complaining for the last 2 years, they still only allow for scheduled charging in European markets. The original lvl2 EV charger that we installed in the house when we moved in has been great for high speed charging, but it's pretty much a dump wall-mount. Enter the Wallbox....
The original EV charger was not hard-wired, but we had a NEMA 14-50 dryer outlet installed on its own 50amp breaker when we moved in - specifically for an EV charger. Thankfully the Wallbox is available as both a hardwired AND as a plug-in variant, which means my upgrade took about 10 mins. Literally just unplug the old one, and plug in the new one - done. I probably spent more time unbolting the other from the wall and installing the Wallbox mount place (hint: don't over tighten it when you fix it, to allow the unit something to 'grab onto to').
Once installed, if you don't do anything - it just works. Plug in the car and away you.
But if like me you want to start taking control of the charging from the Wallbox, you simply scan in the QR code on the box and install the app (iPhone and Android variants are available).
After the app is installed, create yourself a Wallbox login and then enable bluetooth which allows you to communicate directly with the charger - during the setup it will ask you to scan the QR code for the device - there are actually 2 on the unit, so make sure you scan the one on the side (and not the one on the back). Once connected the charger checks for any firmware updates (which takes about 5 mins to apply) and then you're up and running.
Some key features for me that I love
1) As well as bluetooth, you can connect the unit to your WIFI. There are some configuration options you can only perform locally via bluetooth, but from my testing once its connected to your WIFI , you can control the unit from anyway that you have an internet connection
2) Scheduling, scheduling, scheduling. At last. So in my area I have an EV plan from the electricity supplier which means my optimal charging windows are in the early hours , and longer windows at the weekend. WIth 2 clicks I set weekday and weekend schedules, so now I can confidently plug the car in anytime of the day or night , safe in the knowledge that it will only auto-charge during the most economical times
3) manual control - if there's an emergency need you can manually start the charging outside the schedule through the app. You can also lock the unit down , so regardless of time or schedule no-one can use the charger without you enabling it in the app.
There are some more advanced options that I'm probably not going to use (like OCPP to allow you to monitor and control multiple chargers) but some I might in the future (for example the option to split off an additional charger from the first unit and power share across multiple chargers).
All in all I couldn't be happier - the upgrade from my existing EV was a breeze and so far the app has allowed me to do everything I need and more. If you're like me and you need to get control of your utility bills for your EV, look no further than the Wallbox.

I thought that chargers for my car would be expensive and hard to install and use but by getting the Pulsar Plus level 2 smart EV charger by Walbox is super easy to keep my car charged.
First, the charger does need to be plugged in but not in a regular plug so I called my electrician and he basically used one of the outlets that were in my garage and ran new wires and installed the new plug. To install the Pulsar Plus is just a few screws to mount the box and one more for the holster. The instructions are easy to understand and follow either way.
Once installed I really like that the application is easy to use, I can connect to the Pulsar Plus via Bluetooth or WiFi, I like the option since if the garage was far from the house I think the Bluetooth would be a great idea, my WiFi does reach my garage so I connect to it using it instead. The application can be downloaded via App Store or Google Play and after you register it is easy to use.
I also like the colors on the Pulsar Plus, not only does it look cool but it also indicates what it is doing. It has green, light blue, Dark blue, yellow and red. And also it pulses so it indicates something and it is much easier to read it on the application but if I did not have the application I can still tell what it is doing, so there are options to use it without the app or with the application.
I also like how I can schedule the charging, I know during the summer time I get alerts from my
electric company when it is time to save money and that is when it can be scheduled to charge.
I really like that this charger will be useful even if I change my car, I am thinking of a larger vehicle so
I know the Pulsar Plus will charge it as well, and with 25 feet of cable it can reach other parts of the vehicle wherever the charging port is.
The application gives plenty of information and I can check it from anywhere if it is connected via WiFi.
Overall I like how it looks, how it is easy to install, easy to use and best of all saving time and money, I do not need to go somewhere else to charge my car. I have the freedom to charge my car at home at any time I want.

Most electric and Plug-in hybrid vehicles come with a charger the same way any battery powered electronic device does. Usually that charger is just barely sufficient in terms of power delivery. My newly acquired coupe came with a 240V/16A charger for use with a NEMA 14-50 outlet, and also includes a 110V plug for more common plugs. Granted, this is a bare bone system meant to get you charged up and that's it. I wanted something more controllable and faster, which led me to the Wallbox Pulsar Plus. I searched for quite a few different brands before finding the Wallbox, but they were mostly oversized and might not have fit in my location. I noticed Wallbox has some unique technology in the works with V2H, a bidirectional system that lets you use your car battery to power your house in an outage. But that will require the car to also have that capability.
The Pulsar Plus is surprisingly small with the same capability as other brands. It's a level 2 charger with user selectable charging speeds via the app. It was relatively easy to mount to the wall, though the instructions were a little misleading. They recommend offsetting the charger slightly to the left or right of the outlet and 8 inches above. Doing this made it impossible to bend the thick wire into the outlet. I had to re-drill the holes for the mounting plate after plugging it in to properly orient the charger location. Once mounted and secured, I decided to place the cable hook/receptacle directly above the charger to save space on the small wall near my electrical panel. It worked out well and, given the length of cable, should be no problem reaching the second garage bay for future applications.
I downloaded the app and connected the charger, first with Bluetooth, then with Wi-Fi/cloud so I can check it from anywhere. I can only assume other brands have similar characteristics, but I really like the statistics data recorded. Aside from easily selecting anywhere from 6-40A, I scheduled charge times every morning from 6:30am to 9am (as long as it's connected) since I'd rather utilize the energy produced by my solar panels than taking from the grid. The unit can use Eco-smart or Full Green, but those require the use of energy meters to be interconnected.
My first charge recorded 9.75KW with a transfer time of 93min. The battery is rated at 14KW so I was surprised when it only registered 70% and it was fully charged. I know I only had about 2 miles left so there must be some excessive minimum reserves on the battery. I also inputted the cost per Kw to get the cost per charge. It's a great way to quantify how much energy is being used which is very helpful in finding discrepancies in my utility bills.
The Wallbox works great, has a small footprint, and gives me flexibility to charge the car when and how fast I want it charged. Just one thing that could be better would be if the charge clip slotted more securely when plugged in, as it is a bit loose. Otherwise, a homerun for this!

Being that this was not a hard-wired installation it was rather straightforward. One interesting thing to note for mounting the unit above the outlet per instructions is that the orientation of the plug seems to be upside down with the ground plug on top. I had to rotate my outlet 180 degrees to accommodate the Wallbox plug. Fortunately, I have experience with electrical wiring, and it was not a big deal. The rest of the installation was uneventful with the only item of note was that after connecting my phone to the Wallbox the app indicated that there was an update available, but it would not install it via Bluetooth. Once I discovered how to connect the Wallbox to Wi-Fi though it was able to download and install the update.
I have a Tesla and had been using the mobile charger which is only 32A and the extra boost to 40A with the Wallbox is nice. I do miss the ability to open the charge port door with the button on the charger handle of my Tesla charger. Also, I have to use my J1772 adapter with the Wallbox handle which means if I want to use the holster for the charger handle the adapter must be taken off.
The 25’ charging cable provides ample length to reach my car’s port on either side of the garage. The cable is very thick and heavy and can be a bit difficult to manage especially if it cold and stiff. It’s probably twice as thick as the cable on my Tesla mobile charger.
I like the ring light on the unit (which can be turned off in settings) that gives my otherwise pitch-dark garage a bit of ambiance. The real time statistics provided by the app are nice to monitor how much energy you are using, length of charging time, and cost estimates.

Replaced my JuiceBox40, as no longer supported, with this Wallbox. Installation was straight forward with no issues. Backplate was hard plastic but worked so far attached to the wall. JuiceBox did have a metal backplate (mounting plate) and built-in lock. Wallbox app worked with no issues. Mainly use the vehicles settings for charging still. Will follow-up if have further issues with the product.

the callbox charger works excellent. easy install and easy to set up the bluetooth app. only issue I had was the unit was sent to me from Best Buy without instructions or the wall mount bracket. Unfortunately it was past the 14 day return window when installer came. when I called Best Buy they told me too bad, past 14 days so I was stuck. fortunately callbox has better customer service than Best Buy and have sent me a replacement part, thank you callbox, Best Buy not so much. also when I hooked up unit and paired app I saw it had been used twice in February to charge something, meaning someone else received this unit before me. That is probably where the missing items are located, thank you Best Buy for checking the unit before shipping to another customer without checking contents if that is what happened.
