Easiest connect EVER! All you have to do is plug it into the back of your camera, done.. no messing with settings.
I had my doubts this could keep up with the high traffic my ring camera captures. I’ve been having to switch out my battery every 24 hours..every single day.
I have it sitting on top of my privacy wall to my little back yard in a condo facing the parking lot so I can keep an eye on my car. It also captures every person that walks onto the parking area from the sidewalk and everybody that dumps their garbage into the dumpster. I had no idea that after the sun goes down and comes back up how many people walk through there in the middle of the night!
I first put this panel up to where I thought it got sun first thing in the morning.. I was wrong.. wasn’t until mid morning it actually got the rays, so I moved it out a little bit.
Took awhile for the full effect.. first day it wasn’t keeping up and I still had to swap out the battery and it took a full day before my ring even showed I had it connected but then, WOW! (I’d hooked it up to my camera right out of the box and my stats showed I did NOT have solar connected) Apparently it has to get charged up first..
After moving it so it got sun all day long, my camera stays charged at 100%.. It’s been four days now and I haven’t had to swap out my battery and keep in mind, the traffic it picks up is ridiculously huge.
I opted for the Wasserstein because it was less expensive than the actual RING brand. I honestly can’t see where the RING branded solar panel could have done any better.
I just wish I’d thought of getting this before I bought TWO extra batteries for my ring camera because now they just sit getting charged.. kind of like all dressed up and no place to go.

I purchased the solar panels for my ring, outdoor camera doorbell system, and they have been working just fine… I had my handyman install them- and I’ve had them up for about two years now and they have not had any issues… I’m happy with my ring doorbell system And the solar panels were the right choice for me to not have to get a ladder out and mess with batteries and potentially fall off the ladder, which we all see the videos on IG, as well as the price to hardwire everything was going to be way over $1000 so this fit perfect in my budget, and the security of knowing I can instantly pull up my cameras on my iPhone. Highly recommend

Excellent value. Work just like the OEM solar panel but lower cost. Please be aware it is not compatible with newer ring camera having USBC charging port. An additional adapter is needed

It was what we needed all the time and didn't realize. The batteries are staying charged, we took a 14 day vacation and all was well.
It was also, easy to install. We do not need to charge several times with in two week time.

Love this product. Easy to install and purchased this to power my Ricg stick up camera so I don’t have to climb up and change batteries. Best feature it tilts so you can capture the best sun. Everything to install was included. Great product and highly recommend.

Only worked for two months and Best Buy refused to replace it.

The best purchase I've ever made, it's easy to install and eliminates the stress of constantly charging batteries.

I bought this same brand as opposed to the ring solar panels years ago and they have held up since. I bought two more for new camera set up at a different location. Easy to set up and at the price you really can’t go wrong. They easily keep two batteries charged at almost 100 percent on both so they do the same job as the ring brand for a fraction of the cost. Save some money and give these a try

The solar panel doesn’t have to be the same brand as your camera as long as it connects. Love that this also came in a two pack! Just make sure your ring battery is fully charged first and then the solar panel does a great job in keeping it topped up. Do not try to go in with a half empty battery or something expecting the solar panel to charge it up. It’s not how that works! We went in with a full battery, connected and put up the little solar panel. It’s literally been 3 years at this point. We’ve never had to recharge the battery, it’s always being topped off by the solar panel. Granted I live in a state where it’s mostly sunshine. YMMV if you live in a place with much longer winters and less sun but it’ll still be great. You’ll definitely still have to charge it less than if you didn’t do the solar panel (unless you straight up wire it to your house). This solar panel works perfectly and costs less than the brand name. So worth it. The newer cameras did change their charging port to be USB-C so you’ll need to pick up an adapter. It’s very cheap and all that combined this is STILL cheaper than the brand name version of the solar panels!

Excellent product, works great easy to install. In just 3 hours it jumped from 70 to 100% charged. One helpful hint I learned. When you are all done don’t panic if you don’t see in your app that it’s charging because it won’t show that. Just wait an hour to be sure and then check the app to see if percentage went up. I hope Ring fixes that. Just one thing they need to have better washers for the screws to connect to camera. It’s my only complaint but still 5 stars

I should’ve bought these when i bought my Rings. Instead i bought extra batteries smdh. If you put these up when its dusk or dark outside, they wont kick in until daylight hits them. You’ll see a sun on your battery symbol when you look at the settings for each camera. Installation was super easy. The cord between the solar panel and the camera is really long. I have a camera over my door and its covered. I was able to go 5 ½ feet away from the camera to put up the solar panel. I just wrapped the excess cord around the solar panel mount. No more climbing ladders to remove batteries to charge them. You do need batteries in the camera, but you wont have to remove thrm to charge them anymore.

So easy to install and so far, haven't had my battery ring camera below 95%. I live in so cal, so we are pretty sunny the majority of the time, but even on a cloudy day, I noticed that the camera doesn't dip that much. And it's not as large as i thought it was gonna be, so it's not that noticeable.

We are very pleased with our purchase of these solar panels to keep our Ring Solar-Powered Spotlight Security Cameras fully charged. So far they work great and I have not seen the power level of either of our 2 cameras fall below 98%. They were very easy to install and seem to hold up well to rain, wind, and extreme heat. They are considerably cheaper than the Ring Solar Panels and appear to work just fine.
