This solar panel completely met my expectations!
This solar panel completely met my expectations. It solved the need to constantly worry about charging my security camera, especially when I’m away from home. It’s extremely useful, keeps the camera fully charged at all times, and performs its function flawlessly. The design is sleek and visually appealing, blending well with the surroundings. Works, but not in cold temperatures
Overall the solar panel does its job - It charges the camera. I installed 2 of the Tapo solar panels for a few months. They work really well in warmer weather, but be aware that they generally do not work when the temperature falls below 35-ish F. The box says working temperature is down to -4F, but the fine print (look for the tiny dagger symbol †) says battery charging is only down to 32F (0 C). There could be long periods of time when the panel won't charge the battery if you are in a cold weather area.

Good value if you can orient to south
Southern orientation keeps camera battery charged at 90-100%. Easy installation with several options. Worth it if you are using camera where you have sun exposure (south preferred)
