However, some customers find the driving mechanics and controls challenging, while others have concerns about the level of violence depicted. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay elements outweighs the negative comments on specific aspects.

Great Game and Graphic's

Fun addicting game, highly recommended.
Graphics are top notch.
Create a tech-laden open world that provides players with new ways to interact with their environment
Graphics: The final visuals don’t match the luster of early videos, but the game still looks good
Sound: The licensed track list is second rate, but the original music nicely complements the action during select missions
Playability: The driving controls take some getting used to, but the on-foot controls and shooting mechanics are top-notch for the genre
Entertainment: The hacking abilities are a legitimate game changer and give Watch Dogs its own identity
Great replay value

The game was very fun for me and I really enjoyed hacking Chicago. This open world game play and missions accommodates different play styles which I also enjoyed. You can go through missions all cloak and dagger or run in guns blazing. For example, for a part of one mission I pulled up in a car and hacked a camera outside a building I need to hack/access. It was heavily guarded but thanks to all the objects and interactive hack you can do on the AI themselves, I completed the objective w/o even getting out of the car. To the other extreme I could have just ran in and had a good old fashion shootout. The choice is yours.

Good game to pass the time with, especially if you own a X1 or PS4. Graphics are sometimes rough around the edges, but every once in a while you see something pretty impressive. Storyline seem to grab your attention and drive the gameplay. There is plenty to do in the world of Watch Dogs, and I found myself always off the beaten path, which is a good thing. The driving, feels off, and it seem more rewarding to drive slow, and use your handbrake. I tend to only drive when necessary, which works out great when you are looking for money and new events while hacking. Overall a good try for a new IP.

I'm writing this review as I'm on the last Mission of Act V and the game.
Normally I'd wait... but, I've found this particular Mission to be overly tedious and I've decided to take a short break before going back to completing it.
The Hacking component is the main draw here and is great fun.
Whether it's driving around town and wreaking havoc on the populous by hacking their bank accounts, changing traffic signals, triggering barriers, causing steam-pipes to explode, etc. it never gets stale. Especially when the Police are concerned. The AI for the Police is overly aggressive and in my opinion the one aspect of the game I found to be extremely imbalanced. They are nothing short of a grind to engage and evade at times. And their numbers are infinite.
The GFX are good, but not necessarily next gen.
The combat mechanics are solid, as is the cover for the most part. Sometimes I found myself exposed to gunfire when trying to go into cover, other times I would "stick" to cover when I wanted to move to the next position.
Driving takes some getting used. Oddly I felt most in control when riding the Motorcycles. Sports Cars proved to loose control wise and durability was an issue.
I'm glad Ubisoft took the additional time to tweak the game. I'd be curious to have played it in November of last year when it was supposed to release.
A overall a really good game. But not necessarily the best of the genre.

In a nut shell, if you are a fan of open world, sandbox type games you will like this. It reminds me more of Grand Theft Auto, except it's not as blatantly "kill cops, jack every body else" don't get me wrong there is some of that, but it's not as bad. The main campaign story line (so far) has been interesting (I'll leave it at that, no spoilers :)
I'm a parent so I wouldn't buy it for my kid if he was younger than the suggested rating but that's just me.
Bottom line: decent game, doesn't live up to the hype, but if you approach it in that way, it should be enjoyable.

Watchdogs is amazing one player adventure into the game of the world of hacking. The story begins with the main player Aiden Pearce and his strive to get justice for his family that was taking out by unknown assailants and thrives to get hack into complex networks/cell towers while trying to protect citizens of the City of Chicago. Watchdogs reminds me of the show Person of Interest on CBS (check it out and you will see similar plot and story line). If you like Grand Theft Auto and or any one player action games, you will most likely enjoy playing this game.

I have not played much yet but I can tell by now that I prefer this game to Grand Theft Auto 5. Sorry for the GTA 5's comparisons but I cannot helped since GTA 5 is the measuring stick for open world games. First, you are not forced to commit crimes (well you do commit some crimes but the protagonist is mostly a good guy and not a psychopath like in GTA 5). Second, it is harder to run way from the police unless you know how to use your environment and hacking. Third, I care about the story not like GTA 5 that your only purpose was... I do not remember what it was but you just needed to kill innocent people. Fourth, the option to be stealthy and complete some missions without killing people is a big plus for me. Finally, I have not tried the multiplayer yet but I am very excited how it works. In conclusion, what I have seeing up to now I like a lot.

First of all I am very disappointed that my game isn't shipped until the day it comes out. I docked one star for that alone. While this isn't a reflection of the game I am including the lackluster graphics and gameplay repetition in this one star reduction.
What is rad is that you can hack ANYTHING! The achievements are plenty and the level up wheel (progress wheel) is a cool concept. I just expected more out of this next gen console. It feels like a 360 game ported forward........again. Overall, fun gameplay but it could be better.

The game will not go down as the greatest open world game ever, which is leading to some disappointing reviews. But it is a lot of fun to play and has interesting multiplayer mixed into the single player. The city of Chicago looks great, and the hacking options are fun. You can complete missions by only using hacking skills(no shooting), separating this from past open world games. I believe the game is worth owning, as you can spend a lot of time in the story and all side missions, with multiplayer mixed in while roaming the city.

Watch Dogs is a new franchise from Ubisoft, maker of the Assassin's Creed series as well as other hits like Far Cry and Splinter Cell. While many see Watch Dogs as a move to a modern Assassin's Creed, this game sees more of a focus on the hacking mechanics and quick, single button takedowns than the melee combat found in the AC series. With a beautiful rendition of Chicago and plenty of new toys to play with, you are presented with a healthy amount of gameplay (20-30 hours) and entertaining mechanics. Get hacking, folks.

Watch Dogs is an ambitious new IP. It is a good game but not what was promised. It is the same story as the in shall outing in the AC series. If that any inclination of what's to come then it will just get better and more refined with time. The graphics are not stellar because it is a mixed gen release. The overall story is pretty good. I would say it worth checking out, but not at full price. I would wait for a sale or a price drop. In the end it is a good game and hopefully will improve with future titles.

Watchdogs is a fun game, and probably the best single player experience on any next gen console so far (Thats not saying much I know). You will have a blast playing it but it does nothing to truly raise the bar on next gen gaming. Hacking is fun, and surprisingly doesn't get boring. However with the GTA V masterpiece that just came out, you will be comparing it to that, and it won't hold its own in that regard. Still, I would recommended to anyone that is a fan of open world games and say it is well worth the price.

The game is pretty cool, slow start but gets back once you start unlocking stuff. It's little hard get into it, but I think that's due to the fact that we have never experienced a game like this as the hacking part is your real weapon not smashing your car during a chase or blazing your way through an army of cops The driving sucks but the forgiveness on the motorcycles where it's hard to crash makes up for that as they allow you to lane split 10x easier and get anywhere in the city.
I don't regret my buy

Coming up with original content in video games is getting tougher and tougher. To have something really stand out requires a lot of thought. Similar to the 'Grand Theft Auto' series, this story has you playing a hacker who can literally get information about a person just by having them walk by. This is like the TV Show 'Person of Interest', so I'm all for it. Side missions requiring simply hurting a suspect rather than killing him or her can take some getting used to as it seems the creators of the single narrative ran out of ideas, and simply threw these in just to pass the time. Enjoy the game for the graphics and the open world storyline(and the car chases). Who would of known you can do so much with a cell phone.

Watchdogs is a massive open world game. There are plenty of campaign and side missions to do. You spend most of your time hacking everything and anything electronic. There's so much to do and hack it is very easy to get side tracked and off of the main mission. That's ok though since there's no time limit.
I haven't played online multiplayer yet so I don't know what it's like. However I did get into a private lobby with a group of my friends and we had a lot of fun.
This game is not for kids. There is a lot of explicit language and "adult" talk.
The game can get repetitive at times. When you hack conversations you hear a lot of the same thing repeated over and over. That's my only complaint.

There's been so much written about this game. This review will be short but informative. :)
Graphics are impressive and gameplay is fun. If you're a fan of open world type games like Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed, or even Grand Theft Auto 5, you will love Watch Dogs. Besides the main story mode of the game, there are tons of unique side missions that will add to the hours you will spend playing this. Definitely recommended.

this was supposed to be the title that really took advantage of the next gen platforms, right? Last E3 this was the ground breaking surprise. the only surprise this game has to offer is how dull it is.
picture a game that's half GTA and half Assassin's Creed. Now picture you take the fun parts of those games away and go for "realism". That's Watchdogs. Hacking is cool and it's easy to get cash from people's phones but it's kinda boring. the city is drab and there's nothing all that interesting to look at. the weapons are cool but the "vigilante" is a terrible shot. All the NPCs in this game are better than him so you've gotta use the environments to help him. thing is, there's only a few different "traps" that you can use and those get repetitive. this game has no sense of SPEED to it. And the driving is terrible. ride a motorcycle it's way easier.
took me 5 hours to beat it and i covered a lot of the missions.
also, the graphics are the same on XBOX ONE as they are on the 360. the load times on the 360 are even a little FASTER. if you leave you game open in "GAMES" on the XBOX ONE you can click right back into it, otherwise be ready to wait a little bit.
anyway, i was bummed. I thought this was going to be a whole new kind of game, instead it's just more of the same.

This may not have lived up to the hype prior to launch, but that doesn't mean its a bad game. There is plenty to do in the open world and the cast of characters are pretty entertaining. The hacking is simplistic but mostly satisfying. The game can get repetitive so it may be tough getting through all of the side game. Still plenty of hours will be sunk into this game, and look forward to a future title for this new IP.
