When I initially purchased this, I went to the refrigerator area where the sales person gave me a thin bottle and said that was designed for my fridge. I showed him a picture of the model number and told him I had never used a thin bottle before. He assured me that this was the correct one. When I try to install the thin filter bottle water spilled all over my fridge and it definitely didn’t fit. I went back the next day with the thin filter and asked for the correct one. Best Buy had to order it since it wasn’t in stock, so I had to wait a few more days to receive it . This was a disappointing experience. The correct water filter works fine as long as you secure it.

It’s been easy to get these filters .they are out of stock other places even on LG site…the process is simply ..cost is pricier than other sites where I could ge5 two for the price of one but again the inventory is not there…Best Buy delivers and always has it in stock ..my next step is to enroll in the subscribed plan.

The LG refrigerator water filter was designed for a simple replacement installation. Installation of new and removal of used filters is very easy. The quality of the drinking water is excellent. We used bottled water often, so having clean and better tasting water eliminates our need and use of bottled water. Impurities are efficiently eliminated so the taste of water is great. This filter allows the water to flow smoothly without clogging

This water filter is the one my refrigerator needs. When the filter exchange light comes on about every six months I know it’s time to change the filter. It’s easy to install. It just turns into place. Once the water is flushed it’s ready to go. The Best Buy Easy Replenish program is wonderful!! A new filter ships to me every six months so I don’t even have to think about it. I love this auto ship program and I save money by using it. If you need this filter you won’t go wrong.

This filter replaced the old model filter for LG refrigerators. They are both the same and function in the same manner. The biggest difference is this is slimmer and not as bulky as the old filter model which is a good thing. Not a lot to say but good value for the money.
