    Filter fits and seems to do what it's supposed to do. Easy replacement every 6 months or so. Too bad they don't last longer, and they are a little pricey, but there's nothing wrong with the item itself.

    I purchase a new one every 6 months. 6 months ago I purchased one at Factory Outlet for LG. It cost less, but water came out black when I installed it. After 10 minutes of flushing out the system, it seamed ok. But I decided to stick with the actual filter and not an or equal version. Flushing the system was clear water. I will stick with the original equipment filter purchased from Best Buy from now on.

    The LG water filter is easy to remove and to install the new one and that is all there is to it. The filter provides good tasting water for ice cubes and for drinking and it will last for a good six months.

    I've owned my LG refrigerator for five years. On initial purchase I wondered if the filtration system would work as well as advertised. I can say without a doubt it does work flawlessly. This filter cleans the water extremely well. The water tastes the way it should, no flavor at all. All the chemicals are filtered out for a cool, clean, refreshing glass of water. The filter lasts six months and is readily available at all the Best Buy stores in the area.
