Drive quit after 3 months

I bought this in December, installed it in my file server in January and it worked well for a while and then just decided to quit. The manufacture date on the drive was from 2017...not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Great NAS drives for SYNOLOGY or QNAP or DROBO
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 6 of these 3TB WD RED, these are the retail boxed version of the OEM bare drives. I have 2 on my Synology DS218j and 4 in my Synology DS418Play. They run cool, transfer data fast and are generally happy to accept the data. So far so good, as I transition to having my files on a RAID on the network for easier access, I may buy a larger 10 TB drive later for a backup drive of the NAS data
