Every generation of SSD hard drive seems to be faster and more reliable than the last. I stuck this in a 10 year old iMac and brought new life to an old machine (of course, Macs last forever anyway). Easy to install, and it's been working great for a few months now.

Loaded my Windows 7 OS and plugged in the drive. Has been working like a champ. Fast as lightening.

I bought this for my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro. It replaced a smaller SSD. SSDs are absolutely essential for the older MacBooks. They run zillions of times faster and are less prone to damage.

I've been running a 128 GB SSD for five years now and playing games off a HDD. With high capacity SSDs now more affordable than ever I finally upgraded to this beauty and now my games are loading much faster. Western Digital's website has a free download of Acronis True Image for customers, so head over there and you can easily clone your old drive to this one for free. Includes a 3 year warranty, which is nice insurance.

A friend recommended using a SSD drive to speed up my computer reaction time. In Windows 10, I'm able to use the SSD as a system drive only and direct my working files (documents, downloads, Music, pictures & videos) to a 2TB conventional hard drive. Boot up is extremely fast and I've not detected any loss in response time from the HHD.

I updated my desktop computer with a SS drive. This one was a good price, and easy to install. WD provided a data migration utility that was easy to use. The computer appears to be a bit faster, definitely quieter, and should last a long time now!

This is my first SSD, so I can't compare this drive's speed to others. I have had other WD hard drives and they have been excellent. I bought this to store pictures I'm editing with Photoshop, and it is significantly faster loading than my standard hard drive.

WD is one of my trusted tech companies. This SSD is exactly what I needed and it really made a significant difference in the speed of my laptop; it responds like a new and I can go another year, or two, of years before considering getting a new one.

I had some hesitation going with WD given their hesitation to get into the ssd market. Now that they've purchased Sandisk's ssd business I decided to try them out. The drive performs great and they are a lot cheaper than they used to be, a 160GB ssd cost $500 in 2009!

I liked the 250 GB model I purchased to replace a failing hard drive, so I purchased this for a new computer I purchased. They are definitely faster than the conventional hard drive and QUIET. Not a sound.

I bought this to install in an older Mac Pro using an OWC PCI-e adapter card. So far, performance has been excellent. Performance in a newer computer should even be better. Very happy with the purchase so far.

I will repeat...Windows 10 boots in less than 10 seconds! If you've been running on a 5400 RPM drive you've been missing out. I don't think I could ever go back. Get you one!

It's not top of the line, but for a HD dedicated to game storage it's a good balance of price/performance/storage space. Definitely would buy again.

I bought this as a primary hard drive for my HP laptop, it works much faster than the factory hard drive. No issues at all.
