This is a really good SSD for an affordable price. I had to replace my son's SSD in his laptop and have never had an issue with it! It does not have an aluminum housing, it is made of plastic but it does seem like a high quality plastic. I would definitely recommend if you're looking to replace an older SATA mechanical drive thats failing.

This hard drive is very efficient…it has plenty of storage. It’s very fast booting. All around very good!!!

I purchased the drive to see how well an SSD drive would work in my computer system. The SA510 drive works just like any hard drive with the exception being an all memory chip based drive (no platters or motor). I am going to try it in a USB SATA enclosure and use it as a fast portable drive. Western Digital makes good drives.

I always feel if you give something 5 stars people think you are being paid for the review. So I give it 4 stars for that reason. This hard drive works. I use it to store my files as well as record videos on my ninja monitor recorder. Works exactly like it’s supposed to and it mounts to my computer like it’s an internal drive. I edit my videos directly on it. I will continue purchasing this product.

These are fast and reasonably priced. But what sets them apart from other SSD Sata drives is that you can download the full version of Acronis from the WD website to migrate your old drive and resize the partitions. As long as the software finds a WD drive, it will work fine with all features enabled.

I bought this as a replacement for the internal hard drive in my Xbox One X. For some reason the original Seagate HDD decided it was done so I made the choice to upgrade my hard drive to a solid state. Was pretty simple and easy and had no issues whatsoever. Makes my console and games run faster. 10/10,

The Geek Squad saved our Dell laptop from the scrap pile by replacing our old hard drive with the WD Blue SA510 solid state drive. Our old laptop is performing like a new machine! I highly recommend this drive - it was affordable, too! Thank you, Geek Squad!!!

Efficient SSD. Each time I get these for an upgrade, they work just fine on a Mac. So far so good. Reliable and dependable. As expected much faster than HDD. For iMac upgrade, I highly recommend to have a OWC in-line digital thermal otherwise might face full-blown fan issue. For MacBook Pros, just the drive alone is suffice.

A nice easy to use drive to help me update an older computer system. Installation was easy with no problems.

Great drive!! I have several of these installed on my HP computers and they work very well. They are much faster than the traditional disk drives and love not hearing the platters spin. This one replaced a failing disk drive on an old HP windows 7 machine. I was able to clone the old disk to this one and now works perfectly.
