You may have seen my previous review on the WD easystore external portable HDD. You thusly would know I self-identify as clumsy. I saw these carrying cases via the usual extra sales things on the web page, as I was about to check out with my purchases. They were on offer, and I paid $11.81 each after all added tax. This was after my unfortunate accident with the perhaps-lost-data on the 4TB WD easystore, so I am now always aware of clumsy-intervening devices. The cases were/are branded as being for the WD Passport portables, which I know are a different shape and dimension from WD easystore, but given dimensions provided in the specifications for these cases seemed compatible with the easystore, I figured, worst case scenario, I'd have a return on my hands. To my joy, the easystore portables fit neatly into them, and these cases defo offer a level of protection against clumsiness. If I need to transport one of my externals, whether in a rucksack or luggage, they are absolutely going into the case. $12 for substantial extra protection to 4+TB data in transport is value for money I can not forego. ftw. (I'm not totally certain what the application of the wee velcro belt is, outwith mebbe to help wrap the USB cord?)

Great storage for my drive. Fits like a glove and make the drive easy to retrieve.

I'm so happy with this purchase. I saw much cheaper ones on amazon even the same WD brand but I'm glad I bought this one. It's a beautiful little case, It fits the new my passport drive perfectly (I got 1TB). At $20 it's a little pricey for a case but it seems strong and will protect my drive perfectly. I love the hard cover it's very sturdy and the case looks kind stylish too with the Red zipper and red lining which is soft and suede-esque :) It looks much better in person than in the pics. A little compartment inside holds the USB. My only wish is that it had an elastic or something similar to keep the drive secure in the case I don't like when things move around.

This case is excellent. Hardened exterior with an internal pocket that is pushed outward so your Passport is not squished. I have a USB and my cord in the pocket. I wasn't sure what the loose velcro strap was intended for originally, but for fun I wrapped it around my Passprt drive and it jiggles around a lot less. I also gives me extra grip while using it on my laptop. I decided to purchase this after I observed my roommate having troubles with his. This was definitely a worthwhile purchase and I really love it. If I needed anything more, I would have added a wrist strap or at least a solid anchor point for a third party wrist strap. But good enough as it is.

This is a well-made case. Most durable and semi-hard shell. Good thing as it will fit in briefcase very well yet still offers a great deal of protection for drops or falls. Nice mesh pocket on interior. Looks great on a bookshelf when not in use. I have three of these and love them.

Bought for when I take my passport on the go and it is great. The case fits perfectly with my drive. I even use it when at home to as a sort of protection.

Compact enough for transporting small hard drive. It provides protection from external elements. Rigid enough to provide good protection. I like it!

this fits one usb external hdd with one usb stick (flash drive). worth the money!

I purchased this to protect my external hard drive when not in use. It's a nice quality. My two wishes is for a snug fit when the case it open (the drive floor around in the pocket) and that it had a second cord/adapter for a usb-c.

This carrying case is the perfect size for my WD Portable H/Drive. It fits well, with enough room to spare. Inside the case, there is a pocket that I can fit my USB cord and jump drive in. The case feels strong and sturdy, so does the zipper enclosure. It is sufficiently padded and offers protection for my h/drive. I will definitely recommend this to my friends.

WD didn't make this an easy purchase for me. There were indications that it would work (because of other models of HDs that were listed on the package) but the list of HD models it would fit did not include mine and you couldn't open the sealed box. But, I bought it, tried it, and it worked - so be aware, not all current model HD's that the case fits are listed on the packaging. Since it is a semi-rigid case, it gives good protection and the case fits perfectly. Even though the HD comes nowhere near the corners of the case, the zipper is a little difficult to pull around those corners. Also, I would appreciate if the case had a wrist strap by which to hold it. Remember the good 'ole days when you got a case with the hard drive?

Small, lightweight, easy to use. Great protection for the external hard drive.

This case is a hard-shell case with an inside pocket. I have two of them for two WD - My Passport for Mac 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drives. The connecting USB cable fits in the interior pocket. Good protection for the drives at an affordable price and you can't lose the cable if you keep the case zipped.

The Hard Drive case allows me to store the drive and a cable plus additional SD cards while traveling while providing protection as well as control having all in one place easy to access.

Very useful case, light,spacious and at an affordable price

This case was a little more expensive than most, but it was worth it if you really want to protect your Hard-drive. Provides protection, plus a compartment for the cable. It is sized just right. It fits both my new smaller hard-drive, plus it also would work for my slightly larger, older hard-drive.

When it comes to protecting my hard drives, I figure it is best to go with the brand that made the drive. Perfect size and good padding. Solid case to protect your drive.

Perfect fit for WD external hard drive, I also use it with another brand hard drive and it works. It provides protection in case that hits the floor. Hard dive is very protected inside of it

This case is sturdy and fits the hard drive perfectly. The zipper works easily and the case itself is padded nicely to protect the drive from damage.

This case is the perfect size for my hard drive. Secures the drive and cable with no problems. Definitely worth the investment.
