Needed for storage for my PLEX server. This was such a great deal. So much storage for an amazing price.

External hard drives offer the best value for your dollar when compared with internal drives. An external drive is significantly cheaper than an internal drive of the same size. An external can be moved around the house or office and plugged into any computer. This is great way to back up and share data. This WD Easystore is a easy to use, capacious and affordable. Recommended.

Like many other people, I bought these with the intention of using then in a RAID or NAS. I was holding out for a couple of 8TB drives when these went on sale for less earlier in the month. Like I said, these are not WD RED, they’re WD WHITE, but they have the same 256mb cache. I used Blackmagic Design Speed Test and got around 200mb/s from each drive. My goal was to use them in a RAID 1 but I ditched that idea for keeping the disks independent inside of a single enclosure. The standard plastic case is probably fine, but I opted for an aluminum enclosure with a fan from OWC. If these are on sale again, they’re definitely great for shucking.

I really enjoy the Easystore line of harddrives. They come in big sizes and, when Best Buy puts them on sale, they are GREAT value. I usually buy two matching ones at the same time and keep them constantly backed up. All harddrives fail eventually. But this line has been quite robust for me.

I still remember the days when mere gigabytes of hard disk space was a luxury. And now we're living in a time where ten whopping terabytes of USB hard disk storage can be found for less than $200. These are reliable drives that connect fast via USB 3. They can be repurposed...if that's why you're buying this. Amazing, really.

This drive is a great device for backing up all my TV videos, pictures etc. at a very high transfer rate. I filled the storage in less than a day! It is also small enough to take with me when I travel for extended duration and want to watch a move that I saved.

I was able to pick up WD’s Easystore 10TB external drive for a fantastic price - even $20 less than Amazon or other online retailers. Set up was a breeze and I was easily able to format the USB 3 drive to act as my TimeMachine back-up drive for my iMac. I own several WD drives and (knock on wood) they have been very reliable!

At under $200 (I paid $160) you cant find this much storage at a decent speed/quality. For NAS and general storage vs. performance usage, this is my go to drive. It’s also nice to have the option to have it as a convenient portable drive vs. shucking it and converting to an internal install. Either way, this is great value.

Drive formats at 9tb. Plenty fast for an external USB hard drive. Using this as mass storage for my Xbox One. Will I ever play all of the games I have installed on it? Probably not. But it's nice to know I don't have to download them should I decide to.

I bought this to serve as the storage for my Plex media library. Its connected to my Nvidia Shield TV as external storage. Plex media server runs on the Shield and plays off this hard drive. Plenty fast enough for video playback. For the price, its hard to beat 10 TB of storage space. Really happy with my purchase.

Plenty of storage plus bonus USB drive. I get sick of buying smaller external drives because of cheap price and watch them fill up leaving me to nitpick on what i want to keep or discard. This drive is bigger than all of my externals combined and the pricing was just right. Only wish these externals were SSD drives inside.

I use this on my windows system and it is very fast moving files around and backing up stuff. First one of this size for me. There is plenty of room to grow. One thing I would say is to install the utility software from WD. It allows you to set the time out for the drive. Otherwise mine stayed on for ever...

This is the largest Hard Disk Drive that I have ever used & it has all the storage that I need. I prefer Western Digital to Seagate because I have had drive failures with Seagate while Western Digital drives have always worked well for me. The USB flash drive is a nice bonus!

I purchased this as a way of storing my vacation videos/photos since my desktop computer was filling up. The transfer feeds are extremely quick on average of 88mbps a second. It's a simple plug and play harddrive that gets the job done, highly recommend this to anyone running out of storage capacity

Got this drive on sale for less than $200. At that price, it is an awesome value. It is definitely quick, averaging 200MB/s transfer speed. And with 10Tb of space, there's room for anything I throw at it. From ripped Blu-Rays, to my entire photo and music collection, to full computer backups.

I bought this external drive to store my movie library, so I could get rid of my vast DVD collection. I now have hundreds of films in the palm of my hand... and half of my living room back. The product was no work to install, and has served me faithfully in the 9 months I've used it.

Im so happy with this external HDD, I had previously been using a 2tb drive and it would fill up quickly since I do a lot of video recording. Now having 10tb frees up so much worry about running out of storage, and this thing also has really fast transfer speeds which is awesome.

Was purchased to backup my Mac mini as well as audio files and I must say it handles the job with ease. Very quiet and if it weren’t for the light on the front I would not know it was even on. The usb included was an added bonus but I would’ve purchased even if it wasn’t included.
