No back-up on thumb drive

I was told to purchase a thumb drive to back up all my storage. I picked my laptop on time and a thumb drive, It was only when I returned home and looked at the thumb drive 3 days later, that I discovered that the thumb drive was a brand new one with no data backed up on it.....

This new one was not just a reprieve from those problems, but he was excited by some of the new features that came with it - security being one.
