WD - Easystore 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The slide will sometimes not stay "clicked in" and the USB connector will slide back. You sometimes have to hold your finger on the slide to prevent this from happening. Poor engineering on Western Digital's part.

Terrible, returning this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased one today, formatted it just fine. I was able to transfer 3 OS images to it, about 12GB of data. Now using it to transfer another 28GB, the ETA went from about 30 mins (which is lousy) to 2 hours(just terrible and frankly unacceptable for USB 3.0). I am hoping this is a defective unit. But I won't take a chance on another one from Western Digital. I will just wait for a better offer on a Sandisk or PNY. And it gets extremely hot to the touch during transfers. Flash drives do get hot while processing but I can cook eggs or almost boil water with this thing. This work is being performed on a 2015 MBPr: 2.5Ghz i7, 16GB DDR3, 512GB flash storage that reads and write above 700MB/s.

Very Slow ~ 7mb/sec write speed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These drives are very slow. I would suggest doing your homework and getting something else. These appear to be made by SanDisk. I have several Sandisk drives and it has become apparent that they have some budget drives and lines that do not perform worthy of a USB 3.0 classification. These are worthy of a USB 2.0 classification and work slowly but at least they work. My advice it not to buy this drive and take it back if you can. It does not perform well. Also, do not buy the SanDisk 256GB USB 3.0 drive at Costco, it is much, much worse.

Started off at 3.0 speeds...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for a few hours, then the drive got extremely hot and transfer speeds fell to kb/s. Not sure what happened inside the drive but it made my entire computer run slow until I removed the drive. I returned it to the store and picked up a SanDisk. Really disappointed in this drive as I see many others have had a good experience.

Can't fully utilize the drive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems I can only use about 69GB of the 116GB capacity when saving video files. While copying movies, I was only successful up to that capacity and am unable to copy any others - being prompted that the file is too large for the destination file system. This is with the factory FAT format.

Trouble Erasing & Formatting on Mac
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a few times erasing and formatting, the Easystore 128 will no longer mount, erase or format on Mac. WD support was unhelpful, but fortunately still within Best Buy's return period.
