Used this for my PC, it worked perfectly and carried out the exact use it should’ve. It did however mess up and corrupt my storage. So maybe PC use isn’t good.

It’s ok. These drives have plenty of storage, but their read and write speeds are horrible. It’s a slow usb 3.0 drive. Great for small files, but bad for huge files. If transferring huge files, i would opt for one of those sandisk or samsung usb-C ssd. The extra cost is worth it considering the extra speed and convenience of transferring huge files >4gb.

Does the job, but slow write speed for a USB 3.0

The actual capacity of this drive is better than other 128 GB drives I've used. It's actual capacity came in at 124,791,980,032 bytes (116 binary GB). Others brands have been as low as 114 binary GB. As others have said, the write speed is quite slow compared to other USB 3.0 flash drives. It took about 50 minutes to store 65 GBs to the drive. The sustained write speed was 23 MB/sec. Most other USB 3 drives I have used recently average between 50 to 75 MB/sec write speed. So this is about 3 times slower. Read speed was better at about 66 MB/sec, which is only slightly slower than other USB 3.0 drives I have used recently. It came from the factory in FAT-32 format (unlike another reviewer who indicated it came in ExFAT format). It can be re-formatted to ExFAT if desired, but I would recommend against that if used for video, since smart TVs, Blu-ray players, etc. usually do not recognize drives in the ExFAT format. Overall, it does what it advertises. It is just slow on the write speed. I would recommend to buy, but only if write speed is not that important to you. If it is, some other devices would be a better choice.

I'll be honest. The prices that USB 3.0 drives make them delicious to someone's pocket. "But", depending on your computer scenario, it may work like it's supposed to or upset you. For starters, to stick a WHOLE hard drive within a tiny space is a wonder within itself. With that being said, reliability upon speed becomes a factor. "WILL your device allow you receive USB 3.0 or close to half of the 3.0 rated speeds" ??? So for different users it will be different results. That's why I'm honest about this. You may get this and receive a 2.0 speed and your device may be 110% working correctly and this stick wasn't meant to be.

128 gb for less than $20 is a great deal. The catch is that one of my laptops doesn't let me access the contents, and another calls it a SanDisk Cruzer. Which would make it a best buy version of a WD brand flash drive that's actually a rebranded Sandisk. Odd results.

Drive seems to work okay, The housing and slide feel somewhat flimsy to me and I'm not sure how it will hold up over time. It is a large capacity USB drive and that's a plus. Drive is only warrantied for two years. many drives from other manufacturers (and I thought WD) have lifetime warranties.

I purchased this as a additional back up for my Nvidia Shield and it worked for 4 months now its says unrecognized USB drive. I tried to format it using windows OS but no luck so far. the good thing is the light is blinking all the time and gives a little hope that can be fixed but not sure, exploring it further

The WD 128GB USB 3.0 had a good price especially for 128 GB. I am not expecting a fast performance and I have purchased for the price/size.

    Decent Cheap Thumb Drive

This is a decent / very affordable thumb drive with one Glaring problem....it has an access light that is brighter than bright! I wanted to use this in our car for music, but when we tried to use it at night we had to hang few sheets of paper over it as it has a blindingly bright flashing light that continuously flashes while being accessed (I.e. playing music). It’s decent enough for slow access of music files, but be warned that the light is very distracting.

Used this on Win7, Win10, Win10 Tablet, and Linux equipment and it works nicely. As it is set up it has to be accessed as multiple drives - you don't get to store in a 128G continuous space). It also triggers some multiple-boxes on the Win10 Tablet - a little annoying but once you figure out which ones to ignore and the 1 to actually use it's OK.

Perfectly adequate large size USB flash drive with decent speed but not great. Other USB 3.0 drives are a bit faster. The large size is also disappointing, it's really big.
