I bought this for my PS4 as an external add on memory and it's great. With no need for a power supply, I plugged into my PS4 and leave it there. Now I have the 4tb extra added to my gaming so can actually save more than a handful of games. it's also small so sits out of the way with no problem. The loading time depends on the game but the gameplay hasn't been affected so I'm very happy.

The WD backup software that comes with this drive is not anything to get excited about. However, the drive itself is top notch. My initial full backup was hitting speeds above 150 MB/sec. The sustained data rate was right between 100 - 120 MB/sec most of the time. I think this is extremely good performance based on my experience with external drives. When combined with decent backup software, or just offloading certain files and folders, this is a great option.

I needed more space for backups and this was perfect. I have a MAC and always do a timeline backup. I love that this is portable. I would definitely recommend.

I purchased this external because my previous one crashed suddenly and I lost everything on it. I decided on this one based on other reviews and it hasn’t disappointed. Quick setup, is compact, runs quietly and seems very efficient. No issues so far. The storage is huge obviously, not sure I needed 4TB but the cost was very reasonable.

I bought this as additional storage for my PS4. It worked perfectly. Very simple plug and play. I was able to set it as my default storage. Highly recommend

How can you beat the compactness of external drive that packs 4TB of memory and it is USB 3.0. You can back up your entire personal files (photos, music, tax files, etc..) and most likely will have more than 3 TB left on the drive. What else can we save on it? Nice to know we got an ample storage space that is going with you wherever and whenever you are going somewhere.

This external hard drive works great with my ps4 and x box one! I got this on sale and it works great! Super fast with usb 3.0 and it was worth every penny!

I bought this for my PS4 Pro but I think I should have got a 5 terabyte because I'm out of space already. It plugged and played quite smoothly and it is still working quite well. Of course we all wish those cables would be longer but I just leave it sitting on top of the console that I lay flat instead of stand up. But I am glad I made this purchase. I'm glad when things like this are on sale too. I'm blessed that the purchases I make at Best Buy are of good quality.

Set up was foolproof with the additional purchase of a USB Type-C to A adapter. I needed the adapter since I am running a Mac Mini M1. This external drive runs silently, unlike my others which make a whirring sound when the internal disks are spinning. The build seems solid enough and I hope it performs better than my last portable drive (not WD brand), which died suddenly and I lost all of my important work files.
