This drive is very good and was on sale when I bought it. Got it for less than a 1 TB drive.

The hard drive was a great deal with plenty of space for photos, music, and documents.

I ran out of space in my Ps4 and hooked this baby up and its working fine.

The 4TB easystore is fine. It hasn’t fried yet. Hopefully it won’t. Hard drives are no solution for the long run. Nor is the cloud. Hopefully they’ll come up with better for us humans soon.

Couldn’t be happier, used it to expand my PS4 pro storage, 4tb is no problem with latest update for an external drive. Quick startup, quick format excellent buy for the money !

Two of my WD External Hard Drives failed after light use -- this was the first, and a WD Elements was the second. All I did was copy my iPhotos over to the disk once, and then when I tried to access the backup I got the clicks of death

This drive is amazing. I have had several WD Passport drives over the years. The last few have had USB 3.0, but this is the largest capacity drive I have currently. It is fast, compact, easy to use out of the box, and comes with basic disc management software. There are many options that they promote for purchase, but the basic software works just fine for me. The low cost was what got me to purchase it given the 4TB capacity. It is being used to back up my 3TB laptop on a regular basis. It is fast and has been very reliable so far.

I bought 2: One for my PS4 and XBox One: I have about 30 games on each hard drive, it's at about Half Capacity. Needless to say, that means each one of these bad boys will store around 60 games (Variety of Sports titles, Open World RPG's, some smaller and more linear RPG games, etc.) PS5 and XBox "whatever they call it" are both going to be backwards compatible. Therefore with one of these you can easily store all of your current gen games and play them on your next new system just by connecting the had drive via USB port and popping in the game disc (if not a digital copy) The size of the hard drive is somewhere between a deck of cards and a wallet. It's a little wider than a deck of cards but also a little thinner. So in conclusion. It's small. I haven't noticed any difference between playing games stored on this hard drive or the system itself. The load times, performance as basically identical. When you plug it into the system, it will ask you if you want to format it. Once you do this you can only use it for storing games for that specific console, so you cannot use this to store games for more than one console, or other movies, music, images etc. You can always reformat it in the future but it can only be used for one thing at once. These are always on sale. If it's not on sale, wait a week and it will be. A great product. Enjoy. P.S. They are also work great with PC

WD is one of the more dependable models of external storage. Works well with the built in Backup applications on Windows 10 and Apple IOS. Compact and when on sale good value. Better and more in control vs cloud for system Image and data history backing up. The 4T size or greater make it more flexible to backup more than one device.

Reliable Hard Drive with decent USB3 speeds. Best Price/Size/Reliability combination I could find. Very decent speed for a non-SSD drive with, so far, reliability. Have had this in full and constant use for the last 3 months as a media storage device in a Linux setup. Don't get me wrong, this would not be ideal for live/fast video editing - a SSD solution would be preferred in that role. However, for a very decent amount of storage with decent performance that does not 'bog down' at the USB-side - with a company (Western Digital) that is known for its reputation, this is a very good choice to make if you need a lot of space for home videos (for example).

My WD easystore external hard drive has 4TB! Hard to imagine only a few years ago, but storage has grown so quickly - and the price continues to come down. This was on sale for about half price. A price that low always makes me wonder if it can be reliable. This was easy to use immediately out of the box, even for this technology amateur. Plug and play at its best. I put all my movies and old files on it and it still has enormous capacity. It is light and easy to use. It is quiet and has no heat. An amazing device to provide virtually unlimited storage. For old-fashioned folks like me, it is more comforting to have my files nearby rather than in a distant, uncertain cloud.

Got this drive to expand the storage on my Xbox One. It was just plug and play, xbox auto-recognized the drive. No setup required. Chose this particular model because of the low $/GB and because no external power source was required. We'll see how this drive lasts/performs in the long run.

I was in the market for a portable drive. i had previously owned a seagate 3TB external drive but after a few years, it crapped out on me. luckily i was able to extract almost all the files, but i knew that it was time for a new one. black friday was rolling around and best buy had a great offer on a 4TB WD easystore drive. the drive works fine, and i like the fact that it is totally portable and runs off the power of the usb cable, however, the other shell is predominantly plastic and feels unsturdy. i can almost assume that if i were to drop this drive, the casing would break apart. if it came with a rubber casing to protect it, that would be ideal. otherwise, files transfer quickly and i have an ample amount of space for my photos, videos and audio files.

"Only at Best Buy" branding on the box. Not too happy about it. That wasn't mentioned in the description of the item. It's not a sticker that can be removed but actually printed on the box.

It's small, inexpensive, reliable, and easy to set up.
