I've used Western digital for quite some time regarding my personal storage. I have yet to see one of my Western digital devices fail on me one of which is a 2 TB external that I still use today after several years and this 5 TB is seeming to be no different. For a great price and high capacity you can't really go wrong with this one.

Picked this hard drive up to use it for media and I have to say that it works great. I am currently using to store digital movies and for on the go storage. It is not super portable since it is quite bulky compared to other more portable options but I do not mind that at all. Playback is great when hooked to a Blu-ray that supports external storage.

Works great. Portable. Plug and play. BUT..... Only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is it says it has USB 3.0. But the Xbox series x says it is too slow to store games. Only allows you to add music, videos, and some apps. Returning this for another attempt on a different hard drive. Great value for the price. Good for anything but series x back ups. So if you just need an external drive then this is for you. If you want it for series x, don’t bother.

Very solid construction, fast read-write. Size 4-5/16" X 3-3/4" X 3/4". Since I'm retired, I've never challenged its capabilities, but used it once to upgrade to a new computer with now problem.
