Very happy with my purchase of WD - Easystore 5T External Hard Drive. It's very easy to save many of my files to this drive instead of the hard drive on my computer. I also have a 4T version which was used to save the data from my old computer so it could be loaded onto the new one. Very good product.

Great price and easy to use. I have purchased WD products before and this was another wise choice. I am consolidating flashdives and smaller portable hard drives and this is the perfect size and perfect amount of storage to make it work.

This is a super easy external hard drive to use. We store pictures, music, and videos/movies on here that we don't want clogging up space on our cloud account.

The Best Buy Geek squad was very helpful in sharing this excellent external USB portable hard drive with me. When I purchased my new computer, my old hard drive was not large enough to use for the back up, and this new one was perfect. Not only did they do the complete back up there is extra space for the future

My already-huge 3TB portable hard drive was starting to act strange, not opening and such. I took it in to the Geeks, who said it was four years old and this happens, I should replace it. I found this 5 TB drive on a half-price sale five minutes later. Everything loaded onto it quickly and I am much relieved. Another good experience with Best Buy.

This WD is ok, but beware of some of these "secure" external drives! Some of them use hardware encryption, performed by a small circuit board inside the case along with the hard drive. If the contents are encrypted and that board fails you are in for a headache. I usually get the Seagate expansion drives. No fancy software, no built in password protections, etc just plug it in and use it. I think the passport is one I wouldn't recommend.

A great way to store your files for easy access. The 5TB allows storage of uncompressed video files for editing and rendering the final version for exporting to waiting clients.

Bought this to install in my PS4 since the internal hard drive was filled to the max. Plugged it in. Formatted the drive with the PS4. Then set as primary. Moved all my games over. I don’t see a change in performance or load times. Actually seems faster than the internal stock had by a little. Been using for a month now with no issues.

I've had external drives before but the price for the capacity makes it far and away the best so far. As usual with drive capacities; HD and Ext HD eg., the final usable space is somewhat less than advertised. But the only drawback is that the 5TB turns out to be 4.5 TB. Worked it for almost a week now and it has performed flawlessly!
