Great value. $90 for 5 TB is a steal! Nice and compact.

Relatively physical size but huge storage size! My PC immediately recognized the portable drive and it has been running smoothly for a month now. The file transfer speeds seem decent but probably not as fast as a solid state drive. Very happy overall.

Directions were very straight forward almost self-explanatory.
I had no problems plugging into a USB Hub.
It started right up and I had 5TB ready to go.
I liked it so much I got a second one a few days later.

Bought this as my main external backup drive and so far it's been a godsend as I work with large video and graphic files. Not terribly fast if plugged into a USB 2.0 port, although it's compatible (that's all I had on my older machine, but when plugged into my new machine with majority 3.0 ports, file transfer speed exceeded my expectations. Easy plug and play and a small footprint. Have already unplugged from my desktop and taken it with me, attached it to my laptop, and was back to work in a temporary location with no problems.
Good cable size, fast, quiet, happy with purchase.

Fast, big and quiet. The cable is about 189 inches long which makes it good for desktops and consoles also. I have bought some with 8 inches cables and it makes it difficult to reach when attached to desktops. I use it to expand a PS5 and is fast enough to supply data. Thick enough to stand as is in the photo.

So, I've been using this for my video games application storage. It's been working great and was real easy to set up from my PS4. Games seems to run better and more effectively. For the price and the storage. It is worth it for sure.
I would recommend this to a friend

I picked up this drive to add more storage to my home server running on Linux. It was easy to format and is the third WD portable hard drive I have added for storage options. This one was purchased to swap out a smaller 2TB drive I was using for photos and movies. No issues so far and I would gladly purchase another if I needed to!

Pretty easy to use. Just transfer files to it easily by dragging the files from your lap top or desktop. Only drawback Is the price sometimes it can vary up to 30 dollars.
