Definitely works, it is fast and the storage is great. The only thing is the organization after you backup your laptop is not the best.

This is a solid 5 TB External Storage Drive.....plenty of room for my files. Suggest that if you have any files that are important, then you should transfer to a external drive - in case your pc dies on you and you have to trash it ..you know info on internal HDD are hard to recover if your pc decides to die on you.

Bought this as a black friday deal of the day. $89 was too good a deal to pass up for this amount of storage. My use is as a working drive for a laptop I use for graphic design and video editing. It holds up well but there is a 3-5 second delay when accessing it once it has spun down. I expected that from a portable but I think there are probably others that might be a little quicker to spin up. Probably much more expensive and an a portable SSD with more than a TB of storage is MUCH more expensive.

I was shopping for a 1TB hard drive but this 5TB was on sale. It has more memory than I needed but couldn't pass up the price so I purchased this one. So far I am glad I did. Works great, good value in a small unit.

Needed extra storage for photos, went to my local best buy. They always have the best prices and what i need when i need it. Great choice for an external HD

Great hard drive, lot of storage works as expected.

External Hard drives are great. Information stored on your computer can be hacked. But External Hard Drives provide provide more security for your files and information. If somebody hacks my computer they can play cards or go Bowling. I store everything on external hard drives and back them up every month.

They had it on sale for a price that could not be beaten. It seems to work fast enough and is the right size to as a portable backup of an portable drive backup (that must be plugged in) for all my pictures/files etc.

Bought a similar one for my son. Liked it so much I got one. I can store all my data to take on the road. Large storage size small package. Single cable connection. We can take our media with us to the cabin for when we're stuck indoors over the winter visits. There's a lot to like. USB for any machine's use.

I edit a lot of videos for work, and I am constantly flying through storage space. I used to get the 4 tb one at the beginning of every year, but I am very happy with the 5 tb. They are fragile, so make sure you get a carry case for it if you're constantly on the go with it

This is a great product for a really good price. Very easy to use totally plug and play, nothing to install or anything like that. I absolutely love this item.

Use this hard drive to upload clips and pics during events. Have 4 of them and they’ve always been reliable.

Bought this as a backup drive for my wife's files and camera pictures. It works well, portability is great, but I guess I'm just used to using SSDs daily now, and this is not an SSD, so it's quite slow when writing large backups. It's honestly faster to back up your files to the cloud, and then download them to another PC in the time it takes to make a backup onto this drive. Still, it's decent and I got it on sale for less than $100, so 4 stars from me.

This is my 2nd purchase of this brand. Not because of any problems with my previous purchase, quite the contrary. My prior purchase worked so well that, when the opportunity arose to acquire a similar product at a great discount, I could not pass it up. I plan to keep this in reserve for future back-ups.
