Works great on our Xbox console. As soon as it was plug the machine recognized it right away. After formatting it my son backed up his games right away and the thing started working without a flaw. The price was awesome for a 5TB hard drive.

I wanted an extra backup of all my data incase any of my hard drives that run 24*7 failed and took all the data with them. This HDD is perfect for that. The transfer speeds are very good, so it's easy to backup. It's also very portable for the size.

Convenient size and ample room for storage. Very reasonable price when on sale. WD software is glitchy, though. An update crashed my computer for almost an hour - wasn't sure it would recover, but finally it did. Other software (for setting up a password) simply refuses to load properly.

Inexpensive, fast and easy to use. I bought this for travel, for a copy of my Adobe Lightroom catalog. with a folder for backing up the photos I take while gone, and it's ideal for that.

WD the brand is one of the best in storage. I have been using WD hard drives for more than 10 years now. They work as a charm. They are affordable and serves the purposes.
This 5 TB one with a deal is the best. Treat this one as a basic storage and not much difference between 1, 2 and 4 TB. You never know when you will run out of space. Always be upgraded so that you will be satisfied. Until the 5TB launched I purchased the 4 TB one and after this I will only get this one until the next one arrives. Have purchased a lot for my family and friends. They work without any issues.

Bought this to back up all of my family photos and movies over the years that had gathered on various hard drives. Set up easy, partitioned it and created separate volumes for pics and videos. Wish it would've packed with a USB-C cable.

It’s a hard drive. It’s 5 TB. It was on sale for $89. Back that backup of a backup, up. You can never have to many hard drives and back ups. When one stops working for hardware failure, you still got another....and another. What more to say

Very easy to use and pretty much a "plug and play" device with little to no instructions necessary. Just plug the USB device in and it just operates as any other zip or external drive. Lots of storage space at a pretty decent price.

I used this for extra storage on my PS4. Had to look up on YouTube how to make them work together but it's actually just a couple steps on the settings menu. Little bulky and it has to be in the second controller slot but I think it's great!

Love that I can use a portable unit like this to back up my iMac using time machine rather than the huge desktop G-RAID unit I had. I was able to Velcro the unit onto the back of the mac so that it was not visible and it works great.

This is the second Hard Drive I bought. The first for an XBOX One, this one for the XBOX Series S. Hold a lot of game data which you will need, especially if you buy the MS Game Pass system. Over 100 games for old and new XBOXs.

WD 4 and 5TB drives have been my standard for backing up my computers and for data storage. They have had consistently good performance and even more important have been 100% reliable for the least several years.

This is my fourth WD Easystore portable hard drive and so far it works flawlessly like the others. If there is/are any hitch/es that may occur in the future (hopefully not), I will surely update my review.

Great hard drive for backing up music photos and files … also good for backing up your computer …. I’ve been using the WD brand for many years and have several older hard drives that are still working just fine .
