I don't actually like reviewing electronics or computer equipment of any sort until I've had it for a year (to see how reliable it is), but since Best Buy emailed me, I figured why not.
I got it for like $100 or just $20 per TB. That's a very solid price. I believe it is just 5400rpm, so it is not super fast at loading games, but I can't complain too much given the price, and the fact that it's power is supplied by the USB (no separate power cord).
I had a 500GB on my One, which given how big games are, can't hold much. I would rather not have to reinstall and delete games to balance out all the data required to house a lot of games. Speaking of, with a new generation of consoles around the corner, getting a PS4 or a Xbox One, and buying a small library of games for cheap, is a pretty easy thing to do.
Setting it up was incredibly easy. Xbox just detects it, and you select a couple of options, and it's pretty much ready to go. Took one minute.
I would recommend this to a friend

I just plugged it in and off it went. This is a fast drive, I would buy it again. I use it as my back up hard drive. Plenty of storage naturally and very reliable. Sturdy construction, including the connectors.

Great buy and truly is "Easy". It is sleek, well designed, easily portable and very easy to set up, I am about to get another for another computer system! I recommend Easystore 5TB external drive

I bought this to back up my home machine and keep off-site (in case home backup was destroyed). Got a great deal and works great. Had to reload quite a bit of software as I have an older WD unit as well.

Good Price, Easy to use bought this for my wife to put all of our pics that she had online from her photo bucket account on it as they started charging for that account. This was a nice price and in stock for curbside pickup easy mode.

Hard to believe how out dated my last external hard drive was. Amazing how much photos and videos I already put on this one and barely touch the storage space, Highly recommend.

Warning do not put a external storage on the floor it can overheat and make the hard drive fail in couple years also this 5 tb hard drive is awesome I recommend it to all that looking for external hard drive for their game system

Fairly quick drive. I actually bought two for game consoles, and they seem to be working fairly well. No noticeable difference between an internal drive and this one, so that’s nice. Got it on sale for under triple digits also, so I can’t complain.

This hard drive helped me save my old MacBook as an external hard drive so I was able to use it as a external drive for the Mac operating system without any issues and I am also able to use it for backing up tons of files.

Great device so far. Connected to daughters PS5 off recommendation from friend that used the same HD for his PS5 with no issues. Great for storing and playing ps4 games on PS5. Formats quick, runs quick. Only thing i dont like, but its not a big deal, is power light is small and on the back so its hard to see when i want to check to see if its powered on.

Was exactly what I was looking for. I had To replace an older model that was being phased out. I find this reliable recharges well and quickly. It was hard getting use to the split screen. Easy to use

I had been looking for a larger than 1TB External USB portable hard drive and I looked on Best Buy and there it was. Works well and I know I'll never use 5TB, but at least I know it's there if I need it. A good product.

Great device, with a TON of memory space (5TB). It only gets a tiny bit warm, but doesn’t get any hotter. It’s great if you keep running out of space on your PS4. No more super long install times every time a new game comes in.

I bought a 2 terabyte version thinking that that would be enough, but nope, ran out of room fairly quickly. This 5 terabyte for $94.99 at the time (yes, I know, I just missed the deal of the day at $89.99 the day prior) was a good buy.

I've been isn't this drive as a Time Machine backup drive for my MacBook Pro. I didn't mind reformatting it and really like that it's bus-powered (USB) so I don't have to plug it into anything other than the laptop. Quiet and reliable so far.
