The EasyStore is just the exclusive for Best Buy. The EasyStore comes with some extra software that I reformat. Hard drives generally last around 10 years max. To make sure it's the hard drive and not one of the many other things that can go wrong when starting up a computer, if possible, remove the hard drive and plug it into another computer. For a EasyStore hard drive to be able to be read from and written to on both a Windows and macOS computer, it must be formatted to ExFAT or FAT32 file format. FAT32 has several limitations, including a 4 GB per-file limit.

Great portable, large disc and a great price. I have had WD drives for years, both internal and external. Never had a problem and all are still working (a couple for 8 years).

Great price, and fast enough. Love the fact that it is compact and uses usb3 cable for power instead of additional power supply. Use this for Backups.

Great device for adding storage to my laptop. Portable and lots of space for storing all my games. No issues running any games stored on it and does not take up much space on my desk.

I own several similar portable drives for backup storage because all drives fail eventually. Proper data security requires disconnecting drives between backups, a task made much easier when power cords are not involved. No matter the manufacturer, these types of drive all perform similarly (not as fast as a desktop external drive but speedy enough) and fail at the same rate (often enough that I always keep duplicates). Best Buy offers an extensive range of makes and capacities at very competitive prices. I buy larger capacities because 40 years of experience has taught me that too big today will not be enough before long.

So far this has been a great little drive. It has a nice compact size with a fair amount of storage. I use it as the target location for the backup of my laptop and have not had any issues.

Great drive for storage. It is usb powered and very portable. The usb cable seems to be proprietary. I have had a few of these, and they all have been stable and reliable. I have one for my ps4.

Very easy to use and with plenty of space. I downloaded all of my photos and documents onto this drive for safe keeping. It only took a few minutes to install. I also like the size of this.

After losing valuable vacation pictures and videos when my WD Passport Portable Hard Drive failed, I purchased this Easystore External Hard Drive and love it! The speed is fast and there is plenty of room for all my vacation memories. It may not look as "cool" as some of the Passport drives, but the qualify seems much better. Time will tell, but I now make sure to have my important memories saved in two places!

I've bought several of these over the years. They are excellent external hard drives, and have never failed me. The 5tb size is the largest size that does not need to be separately plugged into a wall socket. It runs on the power provided by your computer via a USB cable, so it's very portable. Just plug it into your USB port, wait a few moments for your computer to recognize it, and you're good to go. No formatting needed. These hard drives are well worth your consideration, especially when BB puts them on sale, which occurs fairly often.

Great value, easy to use plug and play. I got 2 one for the Xbox one for the laptop. Very reliable and decently priced compare to other brands. It gets the job done

Great, specially for the price I bought it at. It was on sale for a hundred bucks. Cant beat that price for this size. Filled it up with all my movies, and it fits right in my pocket for traveling.

This amazing little device is exactly what you need to store anything you wish for in case your desktop or laptop should ever fail you! It looks just like the picture! Small, lite-weight, and very portable you can take it just about anywhere should you need to have your documents, .mp3s, video's, photos close at hand. I have never dropped it, so be careful not use it as a practice soccer ball. I would not recommend usage as a coaster for a beverage, dog toy, or a doorstop. Buy one, two, three, even four of these little boxes and you will have just about the right amount of storage to binge watch movies through the entire apocalypse- as long as you have a power source! Got this on a daily deal. Great amount of storage in a compact and easy-to-carry size. Plug and play makes it easy to use. No power cord necessary, huge plus.

Needed more space for my Xbox One and wanted something small and only powered by usb. This drive was a good price for the size and works great. Haven’t had any problems with it.

This is a great storage drive for media and backups to your laptop or computer. I would not use this as a game drive, however. Use the WD P10 black series as that is better for using for gaming. Also it's real small and it's a Western Digital. The quality should last a long time. You get what you pay for.
