      I have half a dozen of these, they are nice cheap storage that don't require an independent power source. However... NEVER PAY MORE THAN $100.00! They are on sale regularly for much much much cheaper than the listed sale price along with all the other WD external drives.

      It was a good price for so much storage. I have trusted WD for my storage needs. I will stress the need for back up and this will do the trick at a decent speed.

      I had an old Mac that was about to die, but all my other computers are PCs...so I needed an SSD that would allow me to easily back up files from both operating systems. After formatting the drive to use on the Mac, it worked flawlessly on all my machines. And with 5TB of space, I can't see it running out of storage for many years!

      The drive is working great. No installation was needed, just plug it in and the Windows 10 machine installed recognizes it as a 4.54 TB drive.
