Purchase Date: 12/02/2024 I have never been so enamored with a hard drive before! This Western Digital Easystore 5TB External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive is nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I plugged it in, I knew it was something special. The speed is incredible, the capacity is perfect, and the sleek black design is just the icing on the cake. It's not just a hard drive; it's my digital soulmate. If you're looking for the best drive out there, look no further. This one has stolen my heart and stores my data better than any other hard drive, and I couldn't be happier.

Bought to backup old laptop before I transitioned to new laptop. More than enough capacity to handle everything and I can bring in old files as needed to new laptop.

Plug-n-Play ease of use. It does include software for automatic file backups, but that is not why I needed it. We are using it in our office to keep an on-site backup of critical files that were being moved to a cloud server. Once the file transfer is complete we will likely use the backup software. The drive was on sale when we bought it, so the value was great even though I went to the store planning to buy a 7 TB drive or larger. I have an almost identical drive that I have used personally over the past three years, and it has been excellent.

I've only had this a short time, but it is a quick and easy plug and play device with lots of room for back-up. A great drive for the price!

Needed to upgrade to larger size. Simple to use and fast with the USB 3. Great price for a 5tb drive. Would definitely buy again.

Nothing but a hassle???? Hmmm, you made the assumption without checking the product. The factory package can withstand normal shipping and handling. I have purchased several of these drives to be used for games. Reconnecting the drive from the laptop to the desktop is far easier that copying the files. I also use one for external storage on a Xbox series X console and it works awesome. These are great little drives for the price. I will be buying more. Highly recommend full format for best performance.

Great hard drive. Tons of space for not that much money. Also is very portable and easy to carry as well as being very easy to set up.

Excellent price, Western Digital items seem to last longer then other brands that I have use in the past, 5 TB seems to hold a lot of pictures

I always have good luck with WD External USB Hard Drives. This WD - easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is no exception. It installed without any issues and works fine with my SyncbackSE backup software. I bought this drive as a Best Buy Daily Deal, so the price was excellent. I have WD External hard drives in 1T, 2T, 3T, and now 5T and haven’t had issues with any of them. Although I wouldn’t recommend dropping them, they hold up well to some jostling and moving around. They seem to be sturdy, easy to use hard drives.

Took no time fill PS4 internal hard drive with games and the constant updates in the queue. Straightforward setup and was cheaper than other models with less capacity that are branded for PS4/XB1. It's no slower, could be faster than the internal drive, so there's no reason not to pick one up if you're running out of space. Install times are super annoying and I miss being able to toss games in and play them (updates from release are good but still irritating...seems games are less polished on release these days).

I bought this WD - Easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black to back-up my computer instead of using google cloud storage. I now have easy access to my files and pics, with no monthly fee to Google. It is also small and compact.

It’s 5TB in the palm of your hand with no AC cord. Affordable. I have 4 of these and they are great. This is it until SSD becomes norm.
