Five Terabytes is about the right amount at the right price for us. I know there are some people that have 20 years worth of files and if that's the case you might need to get some "help" before thinking about backing up your files forever. The hard drive is small, convenient and works great! I also use a second one on the PS4 as an external drive, works like a charm! Love it!

Great and affordable hard drive to use with a Mac. Split it into two partitions- one for time machine and one for other storage.

I purchased this portable hard drive to back up all my digital pictures for the last 20 years. I have them all over on different machines and drives etc. I wanted to have one centralized location for them all that I could easily grab if I needed to evacuate for any reason. It works great, its fast enough and extremely portable. For the price cant go wrong ,no brainer

I have several of the WD external USB drivers. All of them have performed flawlessly and several are over 3 years old and are still working great. I would definitely recommend this drive if you want to keep a backup of your home desktop computer’s important files. It brings a lot of backup space in a little package, when you are on the go.

Excellent device. I used one for Windows laptop and another one for the CentOS Linux 7 Laptops (Toshiba Qosmio and SAGER). The CentOS Linux 7 was installed by Geek service (Columbia Heights Best buy) . All work nice. Looking for a possibility to update my devices with Rocky Linux-9.3.
