Great value for the cost. Excellent external HD with 5 TB of storage available. Highly recommend because of storage size and portability.

Fast and easy to use. 5 TB is large enough to have all my stuff in it. If this drive last a long time (> 5 years), it will be even better.

I love it! Before purchasing this device, I was using desktop external drives, and I used to be so frustrated when I would be traveling and not have documents I needed at my fingertips. With the WD Portable 5TB, I can just slip into my laptop case and off I go, documents and all. Unlike desktop external drives, this device is so quiet, and there is no delay when launching the drive to view or store documents, photos, videos, music, anything. I highly recommend purchasing this device. The price is definitely easy on the wallet too!

As a photographer using digital camera equipment, I need a lot of dependable storage (especial for back-up off-site storage). I have never had an issue with WD products (something I can't say about some other manufacturers hard-drives). All told I have about a dozen of these drives in various capacities for use in everyday storage and also long-term off-site storage confident that they will work when I need them.

Perfect for my PS4! I had no space and very little money, and this drive was on sale and exactly what I needed.

I have a windows and a mac machine, and I am able to use this on both of them. The key is to use the correct format which supports both the systems. It is compact and connectivity is fast as per the specs. The only complaint I have is the disk spinning noise sometimes even when it is not in use.

It is a compact, faster data transferring rate with USB-3, and reliable external hard drive.
