      I use this as a rotation backup drive, backing up my home NAS for off site storage. USB 3.0 is quite speedy. Note that these drives don't use a standard SATA III drive inside (well they do but the connectors are not standard SATA) so you cannot shuck them and use on a laptop. But for their intended use they are fantastic, and quite cheap if you catch then on sale.

      I purchased this with a new laptop. I had my hard drive go bad and l lost everything. I actually had a backup hard drive that I never used. My wifes work computer was acting up and I used it to back hers up and I never replaced it. Then my drive crashed and they couldn't recover anything from it. Not this time. This is small looks nice and hopefully I never loose all my data again.

      This 5Tb drive was at a great price. I've used it now for a couple of months, and have had zero issues. All of my OS's see it without a glitch. Transfer data from Mac to Win 10 to Win 7 to Ubuntu.
