Portable and big capacity

Much smaller than my other desktop external disk. Easy to carry around. Slower than external SSD which only has 500 GB capacity for a similar price.

5 TB ? Western Digital ? $99 ? SOLD !

I saw the 5TB of portable storage from Western Digital...at $99 ? I had to get it. Had a large folder transfer (250GB’s of several backups). It took just short of 2 hours at an average of 31-33MB/sec. Pretty standard for a spinning drive on USB 3. Stayed cool during transfer. Definitely a steal at the sale price.

Great HDD - very fast

I got it on sale from Best Buy for $90, which is an insane price for a high quality 5TB drive. I use it alongside a typical Seagate external 1TB drive (cost ~ $50) and the WD is at least three times faster to write to. With 5TB available, you can keep all of your video recordings backed up without a second thought.

Great for Xbox One Games

We have the older original Xbox One with only a 500GB hard drive, as such it was getting filled up very quickly. My son would have to constantly delete and reinstall games to play what he wanted, as some are over 100GB. With this, there's no need, he's able to enjoy all of his games and still has 80% storage remaining for his future games.
