I do computer repair for a living and exclusively use Western Digital hard drives.I just seem to replace fewer of them over time. You install them, and they work. There as fast as any of the others, quiet, & a good value too.

My HDD had failed and Zack got it replaced after a brief spiel about some other options - like a new PC....and then did as I asked and replaced the HDD in my 'old' Toshiba...and since then, have bought my 5th toshiba laptop, just because...well, it has a touch screen, Cortana, both of which I'm still learning to use!

The hard drive on my wife's laptop failed. Marital bliss hung in the balance. Bought this economically priced drive that plugged right in and allowed me to rebuild her system in no time. Marriage saved.

Very fast, East to install , it has been install two weeks ago and i am very happy is fast overal performance is Excellent and the price even better, I will recomend it.

I have always found WD Hard Drives to be the most reliable and have had only one die on me after 3 years. And for those looking for "Scorpio Blue" or "Blue" hard drives and having trouble finding them, fear not. These "Mainstream" drives are the newer WD Blue drives. :)

The hard drive on my lap top died and I considered getting a new computer but for about $50.00 I was able to replace the hard drive and have nearly a new machine. I installed it myself in about 5 minutes, used the restore disc from Toshiba and the rest is history!

I've always had great success with Western Digital. I've only had one PC internal drive last 3.5 years when it failed. that's only one compared to the dozen or so computers that I owned over 30 years and retired those computers as they became outdated.

This hard drive gave new life to my aging Dell Inspiron Laptop 6500. However, after install, a Geek Squad Tech pointed out this old laptop also needed more memory. It only had 1 GB, which was a big deal at the time it was new. The Geek Tech found that I could still max it out to 2 GB, which still isn't a big deal, but it gave me hope for this old dog. Unfortunately, Best Buy does not sell the memory I need so the Geek Tech showed me where to find it on the internet for $12. Hey, nice guy. Thank you. I will continue to be a repeat customer. So, I ordered increased memory on line, Geek Squad installed it and now this laptop is as good as new. I know it's an old computer, but it will work for my 15-year old son and it's a lot better than throwing it away or buying a new one.

Works great. It was cheap and easy to install. My mac hard drive died for the 3rd time. So I decided I wasn't gonna let apple put in some poor drive that would fail in a year. I installed this one and had my computer running that same day! My mac is pretty old and last time apple wanted to charge me a good 100 bucks to get the hard drive replaced so this was ultimately cheaper, easier, and honestly more fun! I would definitely use this drives or others like it in the future.

Works like a charm. It breathed new life into an old laptop that has a 320G HDD address limitation. It was easy to clone my old, eight year old, drive on to this new one without any problems.

Very fairly priced HDD for laptops. Plugged in and worked as expected. Didn't need much space so it was nice to see there was still a HDD we could purchase that was less than 500GB.

I've only had the new hard drive about a month. But so far, it works as well as the previous hard drive. The best part is that the Geek Squad installed it and I didn't have to deal with that part.

The drive was installed by the Geek squad and is working faster then the old drive even when new. My laptop hasn't had a heat shut down like it did before.

I bought this hard drive to download 2 laptops on so that I could do a virus clean on both. It worked very well for me and was able to hold everything from both computers.

The hard drive on my laptop suddenly crashed so I was in immediate need of a new drive. This one appeared to be the one I needed. When I got it home I was able to follow some directions I found on my manufacturer's website on how to take out the old and put in the new. As a novice I had very little trouble following the directions. It has worked perfectly since the install was completed.

I called WD when my recovery discs sent by Acer for my old Gateway/Acer 2009 laptop wouldn't work and Acer wouldn't help me because the computer was out of warranty (even though they said I'd have 14 days of support). So I called WD to make sure it wasn't a compatiblity issue. WD had the advice that helped (I needed to install a version of Windows 7) and were so willing to talk even though it wasn't their fault at all. I'm glad to have more memory now than the 250GB it originally came with. And I'm in love with the customer support from WD!

Needed a new hard drive for my laptop and this was perfect for it. Also the price was what convinced me to get it since they had it for $50.

I bought this hard drive as a cheap option for upgrading the disc space in my first generation PS3. It installed with no issues and worked properly from the onset. Everything plugged in properly and all the original screws fixed. Or you can use the screws that are included and they fit as well. Other than that I formatted the drive and was operational within minutes.

Got this drive to replace a dead drive in my laptop. Replacement was a breeze and the drive is working great. Laptop good as new!
