This drive is easy to install and quiet and does it's job . My old drive died and this one has made my laptop like new again .

This is an average hard drive that works well as a drop-in replacement for my laptop's hard drive that died on me. It performs well for a 5400RPM drive. I've had good luck with Western Digital drives, and expect the same from this one.

The hard drive was good and worked for me, but I had problems with the computer. So I am making it into an external hard drive. Will be good for backup of photos and documents.

I picked up this hard drive as an upgrade for a 160GB PS3 that I've been meaning to upgrade. Yeah I know, better late than never right? Anyways, I originally wanted a 500GB unit, but they were sold out. I grabbed the 320GB because it was still a decent upgrade at a very reasonable cost. It's been a solid performer in my console and relatively quiet as well. If you have a PS3 and you need more space for PS+ titles and don't download too many others this should work pretty well for you.

Purchased for an older Asus laptop. Old drive failed completely, suspect internal drive controller failure, not bad sectors. Needed new drive that was a good performer and very rugged / stable. WD (Western Digital) drives fit the bill. Best Buy had a very acceptable price. Was able to install without any problems (physical or operating system) and got laptop back on the road again. No nasty surprises during install or software downloads.

This is the first time that I've ever changed out a hard drive, and I would have liked to have a set of installation instructions. Thank goodness for Google. I had to search for instructions on the internet, but the installation was very easy. I grounded myself, then four screws and plug it in. Done! I installed a Linux operating system called Ubuntu. That was a couple of months ago, and we haven't had any problem since.

Easy to install and overall good value! For a laptop replacement drive, this works perfectly.

We re-purposes a hard drive for one of our field guys and needed to replace the hard drive. This unit was cheap, and we have not had any problems thus far.

I bought the cheapest 2.5" drive I could find to replace a HDD in an old netbook for a friend. It'll work for them very well. For my own computers, I buy a better grade drive, with faster speeds and more reliability. I was able to get a price match from Amazon which lessened the cost by a few dollars too. Installation is great, just like all other new HDD's; no issues there.
