After almost 30 years of handling hard drives, WD has remained the most reliable of all, and outlasting most. I realize some of them are not better than others, but overall, you can trust the brand, and their best is better than the rest.

This drive replaced my failed drive to operate my PC. A bigger drive may have been a better solution.

My laptop was left in the trunk of my one night. The temperature dropped to -10 F. The next day it would not boot up. Took it to the Geek Squad. They told me it was the hard drive. They put a new one in, I brought them the recovery disc. Now it is as fast as it was when I bought it 6 years ago.

Bought it o replace a faulty drive in My apple Computer, tried using another drive and it would not boot, took along tome to clone drive, I put in this drive, it cloned 20x's faster and booted up no problem, data rate is great, tested playing back some movies I created, no delays very smooth

My computer was DOA, but my husband was able to fix it for $40.00. Beats buying a new laptop.

What can I say.....when I want a good hard drive I look for WD! I had my daughters comp up and running in a matter of minutes after messing around with it for a day or so. Once I made sure it was the hard drive, I knew what I had to do, buy a WD drive! Everything is back on track!

I got this drive to replace the crashed drive in my son's Mac Book Pro. The installation was very easy and after a quick format, his computer was ready to go. It's not the speediest of hard-drives, but it has worked just fine, and so far, there have been no errors of any kind.

the Geek Squad again made my life easier, with this new hard drive I didn't have to buy a whole new laptop.

What can I say. It's a hard drive, works just how it's supposed to. Right out of the box, popped it into my Mac that had a dead drive. After setting up the needed partitions the Mac Os installed with no problems. Haven't had a problem with western digital drives in the past and will continue to use them.
