Device is easy to use and has lots of storage space for backing up computer and camera pictures. Also great for backing up music and home movies. Easy to use.

I bought this to be expanded storage for my Xbox One (requires USB 3.0). I got home plugged it up and it recognized the drive as a media source but not for the expanded storage. Did research and found out any drives with Backup purposes on it like this one have hidden partitions on it for the recovery software. Took a little work but got it cleaned off so the Xbox One could use it. No issues since.

Device was incredibably easy to install and setup on my xBox one. Excellent value for gaining 4TB of space, and works much faster than the internal drive...

I use this for backing up my entire system. I have had a lot of good luck with Western Digital drives as opposed to other brands. Supports usb 3.0 which is nice!

I purchased my WD 4 TB in my last visit in the USA, this storage is awesome, fast and simple to install and manage. One of them best way to keep your data safe.

Very useful & practical. Basically does what it says it does. I use it as an extension for my Xbox One and now I have plenty of space to save all my games. Great buy for the price. Highly recommend. This is my second WD Book and plan on buying more in the future.

Got this on sale and love it. I use it for my movie collection and have barely put a dent in the capacity. If you have a ton of pics or movies this is for you.

Like so many of us, I have a growing library of media and other files that are important. Oh yes, we can all use a cloud backup service, but it makes sense to have a local backup as well. I've always used WD and never had any regrets. I'm hard on my drives with all my editing and streaming via PLEX. A friend recommended a Seagate for the sale price and I used it. Unhappily, the Seagate died in less than six months and took some photo libraries with it (stupid me, I didn't back them up soon enough). Lesson learned. WD for all my hard drives from here going forward.

I bought the WD - My Book 4TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive to connect to my 500gb XBox One. I didn't need this much additional space but at the price it was hard not to plan for the future. The drive was recognized immediatly and was automatically foratted by the XBox One for use as external storage. Over the USB 3.0 connection, transfer speeds and game loading speeds have exceeded my expectations. The reviews on the Internet rated this drive very well and I concur.

As space was shrinking on my computer, I needed an external hard drive. This one was easy to setup and is working great for me. Hold my backups and photos.

Very simple to install. We plug it into our router so we can share the space with PC and Mac machines. Works great as a shared home storage device.

I purchased this for my XBOX One so that I could add external storage. It was very easy to hook and and use, and the transfer rate is excellent. It is actually faster to play games off of this hard drive than on the installed one the XBOX comes with. I imagine it would work just as well with a PC. Very highly recommended!

I actually have two WD My Books to store all of my photos. both identical backup systems for my photos, I now feel safe in the storage of my photos

It would probably work better for doing complete back up on whole computer but wanted to do music and movies. It works well with no glitches. It was easy to install And hasn't had any pop up issues my old one did. I would recommend this to a friend.

This hard drive has 4G of storage. Plenty of room to back up my 3 computers and all of my scanned photos
